The sun rose, casting a warm glow over the room as Sheya blinked her eyes open.

Disoriented, she rubbed her eyes, trying to make sense of her surroundings. This wasn't her room.

Her brain felt frozen for a moment. Where am I? she thought, the events of the previous night slowly coming back to her.

I came here with Karv, right? She looked around, recognizing the unfamiliar decor.

Is he here? The realization hit her.

This was his house, not hers. She had fallen asleep in his bed.

She rewound the events in her mind, piecing together the details.

He had brought her to this room, and she had been too exhausted to even take in her surroundings.

Her head had been spinning, the weight of the day pressing down on her.

She barely remembered taking off his coat and washing her face before collapsing onto the king-sized bed.

Sleep had claimed her in an instant, dragging her into dreamland.

And now here she was.

She swung her legs over the edge of the bed and slipped on her footwear.

Just as she was about to stand, there was a knock at the door.

She walked over and opened it, finding one of the house helpers standing outside.

The woman greeted her politely, and Sheya returned the gesture. Then, another girl appeared, carrying an rolling cart of dresses.

The girl stepped inside, laying the dresses out in front of Sheya.

"Please choose one and come downstairs. Boss is waiting for you to join him for breakfast,"

she said with a smile before leaving the room.

Sheya's eyes widened as she looked at the array of beautiful dresses.

They were all stunning, but... Is this really necessary? she wondered.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Karv was waiting, a slight smile playing on his lips.

He had chosen every one of those dresses himself, and he was eager to see her in one of them.

The maids exchanged glances, noticing his unusual expression.

He cleared his throat, snapping them out of their thoughts. Is she happy with the dresses? he wondered, a flicker of doubt creeping in.

"Or is my taste in clothes so terrible that she hasn't chosen one yet?"

Just then, he heard footsteps approaching.

He turned, his heart skipping a beat as Sheya's face came into view.
