Her face fell.

He was seated at his desk, absorbed in his laptop. His gaze shifted toward her.

She was stunned. Why was he here?

She couldn't utter a word, frozen at the sight of him.

He can't be here! she thought.

"Who are you?" he demanded, his voice stern and authoritative.

"I'm-I'm Sheya Roy, from the department," she stammered.

He nodded. She frowned, noticing he still didn't seem to recognize her, even after she stated her name.

Her mind, already distressed, was preoccupied as she failed to notice him approaching.

Her heart skipped a beat as he rolled up his sleeves and stopped right in front of her.

"Move," he said, confusing her.

"Pardon?" she asked, bewildered.

"Don't waste my time. Move!" he ordered. Realizing his intent, she quickly stepped aside.

But why did he summon her here?

"Mr. Maheshwari, why did you call me here?" she asked, puzzled.

He didn't answer. Instead, he opened his cabin door and directed her,

"You're in leave Mrs.lee!" He said to his assistant. She smiled so much.

And then looked at sheya to give her answer.

"To give you a lesson in punctuality. You'll handle all my meetings today, and on top of that, complete your own work. No excuses."

She was even more confused. "But today I have very important files to complete. Please, not today. I'll finish from tomorrow," she pleaded. His expression remained impassive.

"Come in two minutes, after you're done begging," he said curtly before heading out to the parking lot.

She followed him, frustration evident on her face.

His presence only added fuel to her irritation.

She approached his car, finding him already seated in the driver's seat. She was about to sit in the back, but he glared at her through the rearview mirror.

She silently took the seat beside him. He preferred driving himself, with his bodyguards and other staff in separate vehicles.

Her thoughts raced. She wanted to stop the car immediately, but knew that wasn't feasible. The assistant, who knew the work better, had been dismissed, leaving her to deal with a punishment she couldn't understand. She had no idea what tasks awaited her.
