Y/N sat frozen in the dusty cottage, her heart pounding in her chest as she listened to the footsteps growing closer outside. The air seemed to thicken with tension, the silence in the abandoned cottage weighing heavily on her. With each passing moment, the footsteps grew louder, more assertive. Whoever was approaching the cottage was clearly not trying to be stealthy about their visit. Y/N wondered who it could be and what they wanted.
Her mind raced, considering her options. She could stay where she was, hidden behind the tattered curtain, and hope she would remained undiscovered. Or she could cautiously peek through a crack in the cottage wall to get a glimpse of who was outside.
The footsteps were now right outside the cottage, the crunch of stones and twigs under heavy feet making Y/N's heart pound even harder. The tension inside the cottage was tangible, the air charged with anticipation.
Y/N took a deep, shaky breath, trying to calm herself. She had to make a decision quickly - whether to stay hidden or risk a glance to see who was outside. She knew that whatever choice she made could have serious consequences.
The footsteps stopped, and there was a moment of silence as if whoever was outside was studying the cottage. Y/N held her breath, her ears straining to catch any hint of what was happening just outside.
Then, the silence was broken by a low, gruff voice, asking, "Is someone in there?"
The sudden voice made Y/N flinch, her heart skipping a beat. The tone was harsh and authoritative, leaving no doubt that whoever was speaking was not a friendly figure.
The voice outside continued, "We know someone's inside. Come out and identify yourself. Now."
The command in the voice was clear and uncompromising. It was obvious that whoever was outside was not going to leave until they had an answer. Y/N was torn between a desire to obey and a sense of self-preservation.
As the commanding voice outside grew more insistent, Y/N felt a strange sensation wash over her. It was as if her omega nature, deeply programmed to submit to strong alphas, was responding to the authoritative tone of the voice. A part of her felt compelled to obey, to follow the orders given.
Despite her fear and anxiety, Y/N felt a pull towards the voice outside, a primal instinct that she couldn't ignore. It was as if her very being was wired to obey alphas, to submit to their authority.
She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, silently chiding herself for her omega nature. She hated the fact that her biology made her feel compelled to obey someone she had never met, simply because they sounded dominant.
But the pull was undeniable. Y/N's body trembled, betraying her inner struggle. Her omega nature was urging her to obey, while her mind was screaming at her to resist.
Y/N struggled against her instincts, but the pull was too strong. Her omega nature was winning out, compelling her to obey the authoritative voice outside.
With a mixture of resignation and determination, Y/N pushed back the tattered curtain and stepped out of the cottage.
The crisp night air hit her face, bringing a chill to her skin. She could see a figure standing in the shadows outside the cottage, but the darkness made it impossible to make out their features clearly.
As soon as Y/N emerged from the cottage, the figure stepped forward, their boots crunching loudly on the dry leaves beneath. The voice from before spoke again, "I knew it. I could smell an outsider. Who are you, and what are you doing in our territory?"
Y/N took a shaky breath, her heart pounding in her chest. As an Omega, she knew that her status alone made her an easy target, especially in the territory of a dominant pack.
Y/N swallowed hard, her mind racing as she tried to think of her pack name.
"I'm Y/N... from the Moonlit Pack," she said, her voice surprisingly steady despite her fear.
The alpha outside studied her for a moment, his gaze penetrating even in the dim light. "From the Moonlit Pack, eh? That's a long way from here. What are you doing so far from home?"
Y/N felt a flicker of panic as she tried to come up with a believable explanation. She knew that the alpha was unlikely to accept any excuse that didn't hold up to scrutiny.
"I...I got lost," she said finally, hoping her voice wouldn't betray her nerves.
The alpha chuckled, the sound deep and menacing. "Lost, huh? Seems a bit convenient to be lost in another pack's territory, don't you think?"
Y/N felt a knot form in her stomach. She knew her lie wasn't fooling the alpha, but she couldn't come up with anything better in the moment.
The alpha took another step towards Y/N, his voice low and threatening.
"You're going to have to come with me," he said. "You're an intruder in our territory, and we don't take kindly to outsiders."Without giving Y/N a chance to protest, the alpha grabbed her arm in a firm grip and began leading her through the dark forest.
The walk was tense and silent, the only sounds being their footsteps and the occasional hoot of an owl. Y/N could feel her heart hammering in her chest, both from fear and the close proximity of the alpha holding her arm.
Finally, they arrived at a large clearing, lit by the soft glow of a few torches. In the centre of the clearing stood a large cabin, the flickering lights inside illuminating the windows.
The alpha led Y/N towards the cabin, his grip never loosening on her arm. As they got closer, several other figures emerged from the shadows, clearly part of the alpha's pack.
Y/N felt her stomach drop as she was led into the cabin, surrounded by the alpha's pack members, all of them studying her with a mix of curiosity and hostility.
Inside the cabin, there was a large room with a central fireplace, its orange glow casting dancing shadows on the walls. There were makeshift beds scattered around the room, and several alpha and beta males were sitting around, engaged in quiet conversation.
The alpha led Y/N further into the room, stopping in front of a small, metal cage in the corner.
"This is where you'll be staying for the night," he said, his tone gruff. "We'll decide what to do with you in the morning. For now, you can consider yourself our guest."
The alpha pushed her inside the cage, closing the door and locking it with a clink. The cage was small and cramped, just enough space for Y/N to crouching inside. She could feel the eyes of the pack members on her as she settled onto the cold floor, feeling more vulnerable than ever.
The alpha turned to the others in the room, his voice authoritative. "Keep an eye on her. And don't let her out for any reason."
The other pack members nodded in agreement, their gazes never leaving Y/N in her cramped cage.
Y/N closed her eyes, trying to steady her breathing and quell the rising panic she felt. She was completely at the mercy of this pack now, their prisoner and under their control.
