When you got off your phone, you stood up and opened your room door, walking over to the kitchen when you saw Alhaitham sat in the living room, watching a show on the tv the two of you spent ages saving up for.
Your eyes lingered on him for a few seconds before you made your way to the kitchen, raiding the fridge for something to eat. But, you got distracted by the tv half way through.
The show was interesting enough to catch your attention, having you stand there and watch it all the way from the kitchen. It seemed you were stood there long enough for your ex boyfriend to notice you, completely stationary, and not cooking a thing.
Turning his head, he caught you watching the tv and quietly laughed to himself. The moment he turned around you instantly picked up the nearest culinary item you could find and pretended you were just preparing yourself to make a nice meal.
"You can come watch with me if you want, better to sit down than stand up." Alhaitham offered, moving up on the couch to give you space.
His welcoming behaviour surprised you, you felt yourself growing closer to him again as the days went on.
You sheepishly scratched the back of your head, laughing as you made your way towards the couch and sat down next to him. Being so close to Alhaitham decreased your IQ by at least a hundred, you felt yourself not being able to form proper thoughts. He made your brain cease all function.
You were way more comfortable standing up, in the kitchen, than sat next to him watching the show he put on the tv.
But, it was just like old times. Where the two of you would cuddle on the sofa and watch random shows each of you suggested, except this time you both respectfully kept your hands to yourselves.
Something you, especially you, were not used to.
You could barely even focus on the movie.
Trying to get comfy, you leaned back on the sofa and hugged a pillow instead, not wanting to waste this once in a life time opportunity to watch a show with your ex boyfriend. It was actually the first time you were spending quality time together after the break up.
Though the moment was short lived after you got a message from Heizou, you thought it would be a short conversation but once you saw what he sent, you had to turn your phone at an angle so Alhaitham wouldn't see.
