Chapter 1
"Ah, I'm so sleepy..." I said, wiping the spit off my lips. "Thanks for waking me up." I turned to my friend who sits by me. She shook her head at me and patted my head. I smiled brightly at her and looked up for the first time in class. Today was the first day of school... I was now a senior.
In front of me sat a guy with broad shoulders and curly brown hair. I quickly turned back to my friend and patted her shoulder.
"What?" She asked.
"Wake me up when we start class," I said.
She smacked by back. "Just stay awake!" She said.
"Ow..." I said, and sat up.
"Time to introduce yourselves! I am your homeroom teacher so you'll be spending the rest of your school year with me!" Our new teacher said, laughing creepily with his hands joined.
"Ah... he seems nice," I managed.
"I heard that he was one of the nicest teachers!" My friend said. Her name was Lee Ji Eun. She was one of the cutest girls at our schools but also known for being the smartest and the kindest as well. Actually, I was pretty lucky to have her as a best friend. I couldn't imagine high school without her.
When it was my turn to introduce myself, I stood up and bowed down. "Hello, my name is Bae Suzy," I said. Then I sat right back down.
"Okay... anything else?" Mr. Brown asked. That was our new teacher's name.
"Well... I'm really shy..." I lied, and stayed sitting. I smiled sweetly at him. He nodded and moved on to the guy in front of me.
He stood up upright with his hands in his pockets. He was tall. "My name is Lee Jong Suk. I'll only be in here for half the year so treat me well until then," he said, and sat down.
I poked Ji Eun. "Why is he only here for half the year?" I asked.
"He was in some sort of accident last year so had to miss half the year. He's supposed to be in college by now but yeah, that's what happened," Ji Eun whispered.
Lee Jong Suk turned back to us at this time. He didn't say anything, but his eyes met mine and I saw his face for the first time. I pretended not to care and looked ahead. What I was really thinking was that he was good looking... I looked around my classroom to find that all the girls were staring at him.
