Chapter 3

Since we only had three days to complete our presentation, we had to meet in the weekend. It was Saturday, and I really, really didn't want to go work on the presentation. Anyway, everyone had agreed on 11 o'clock at the coffee shop nearby our house, which was good.

Ding.

I quickly took out my phone and looked at it. We had exchanged phone numbers yesterday, so everyone had each other's number. That's how Lee Jong Suk had my number and I had his. The message was from him.

-Hey, it's Lee Jong Suk. What time were we meeting?"

I wondered why he decided to ask me instead of Ji Eun, but either way, it made me a little excited.

-11.

-At night or morning? Haha...

I laughed at his horrible joke. Did he mean it to be funny?

-of course morning...

-okay. See you then.

I put down my phone and looked in the mirror. I thought about changing my outfit and dressing up but then I remembered that we'd be there for hours and I didn't want to be uncomfortable. I decided I would keep on my gray sweatpants and navy sweatshirt. For some reason, I still wanted to be a little attractive, so I put on some perfume and brushed my hair. I also added in some lip gloss and headed out.

I looked at my phone to see what time it was. It was ten fifty but Ji Eun and Lee Jong Suk were already in the shop. I sighed. As usual, I was the latest.

2 hours later...

While working on the project, I began to nod off. I felt someone push me... was I dreaming?

"Arg!" I said as my head bumped on the table.

"Wake up Suzy," Ji Eun said. I looked beside me to see Lee Jong Suk playing on his phone.

"Hey, how about you? Are you done?" I asked. He nodded but didn't look at me. He had headphones in as usual, but I guess he could still hear me. "Are you sure you did everything right?" I asked, placing my face in my hands and getting closer to him. He finally turned to me and scoffed. He took out his index finger with a stunned look and pushed my head out of his way.

"Hey, do your work first," he said.

"Pfft," I said, then turned back. Then I decided to watch him a little longer. He was now singing along, or sort of just mouthing the lyrics to his song. It sounded like an upbeat song. "Hey, what are you listening to?" I asked, holding out my hand. "Give me one ear so I can get motivated," I said, looking up at him with what I thought was a cute look.

He looked back at me and shook his head. "I'll share when you're finished," he said, and pushed my head back again.

"Pfft..." I said, starting to turn away when I remembered that we weren't even close in the first place. So I turned back. "Hey, since when were we close enough to push each other's head?" I asked.

"Since I joined the group," he responded.
