AFTER TAKING time off work, due to many of her peers' concerns, Ivory was finally back in Seattle. She had used the time off to spend time with her mother in Boston, before returning once she felt ready, and she had a lot to catch up on.
Cristina had informed her on everything she'd missed. Meredith had begun to date Doc's vet, George and Meredith had sex, which ended in Meredith crying, George had began to date Ivory's replacement in the hospital, who was an orthopaedic resident and had moved in with the girls. And Ivory was still avoiding Izzie — who was seeing Denny — while Alex was always on Addison's service.
Stood in the bathroom with Izzie and Meredith, Ivory was brushing her teeth as Meredith informed her on her situation with the vet, "He asked me who I last slept with, and I couldn't say anything. I fled the scene."
As Ivory laughed, Izzie frowned, "You didn't tell him about George or Derek?" she asked as Ivory rolled her eyes. Even the voice of the blonde intern had become irritating, "Hmm. You like him."
Shrugging, the intern continued to pluck her eyebrows, "I could like him." Meredith said, "But we haven't had any sex for me to completely know."
Ivory gasped, "Four dates and two sleepovers at his place and no sex?" she asked, "You're really taking this celibacy thing seriously."
Fixing her eyebrows, Meredith shook her head at the girls question, "Not even a kiss goodnight." she said, and before the girls could continue conversing, Callie entered the bathroom, wearing only the bottom piece of a lingerie.
Whistling, Ivory turned to the woman who she was growing to like, "Morning, Callie." she winked at the orthopaedic resident, who smiled.
"Morning." she said, her smile quickly fading as she noticed Izzie's judgmental glare and Ivory rolled her eyes at the blonde.
Walking to her the toilet, Callie quickly finished and exit the bathroom as Izzie broke out in laughter. Ivory turned to the blonde and scoffed, "Could you be even more stuck up?" she asked, "You're a real bitch, you know." she said, putting away her toothbrush and leaving the bathroom.

"DR. AVERY, Dr. Torres?" the annoying voice of Izzie Stevens called the two girls looking at the x-ray, who turned around, both crossing their arms as Izzie gulped, "I heard you guys are performing the Noah Reynolds surgery." the two women nodded, not wanting to give the intern the satisfaction of responding, "Well, I'm your intern. So, whenever you're ready."
Nodding, Ivory turned her back to the girl, lightly nudging Callie to respond, "Okay, well, head up and prep the OR. We need to put on a splint." she instructed as Izzie left the room.
Lightly jogging to the resident, George leaned into Callie's ear, "Did you wash your hands?" he asked, causing Ivory to raise an eyebrow as she checked on the patient.
Confused, Callie turned to face the intern, furrowing her eyebrows, "What?" she asked, "Of course, I washed my hands." she said.
"No, no. Of course you did." George nodded, moving away from the two women.
The corner of Ivory's mouth quirked up as she turned to the resident, "I'll explain later." she whispered, facing the patient, "Marshall, this is going to hurt a little bit, okay?" she said, placing her hands onto his forearms.
"My ETOH and tox screens were pristine so I wasn't drinking or... under the influence." he winced as his bone snapped back into place, "Ow!" he yelped.
Opening the door, Derek entered the room, "Okay, we get the CT result back yet?" he asked Meredith.
Shaking her head, the intern faced the attending, "Not yet." she responded.
"My GCS was 13. Why haven't I had a CT?" Marshall asked as the two women snickered at his entitlement.
Frowning at the blonde intern, Derek crossed his arms, "Dr. Grey?" he called out, tapping his foot against the floor in frustration.
"CT was backed up." she explained innocently, "And he's lucid now, so..."
"So get it done! Now!" Derek yelled, slamming the door as he left, causing the two women to laugh at his overly exaggerated emotion.

"HEY, where the hell is that promiscuous skank?" Ivory asked George, with her arms angrily crossed, "She was supposed to prep an OR for Noah's surgery and she bailed."
Ignoring the girl, George entered the Johnson's room, his eyes filled with regret, "Mr. And Mrs. Johnson?" he called out to the couple.
The plump man leaned back onto the wall grinned, "Dr. O'Malley!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with joy.
Pointing at Ivory, Mrs. Johnson squealed, "That little girl right there says she's going to fix Noah's leg with her student." she smiled, "And she just gave him a big old shot for his pain. I really like her."
"Mr. And Mrs. Johnson? Big Jim?" George called out in a solemn tone.
Sensing that the topic of the conversation was serious, Jim stood up from his position on the arm chair as Mrs. Johnson hovered her hand over her mouth, "Is it Mel?" she asked.
Nodding, George stared the couple in the eyes, "Yes, ma'am, it is." he said softly.
"What?" Jim asked, his voice becoming more concerned, "What?" he repeated.
"When your daughter came into the OR, her body was over-pumping her bloodstream with adrenaline, which kept her conscious and alert and, uh, pain-free. During the CT scan, she was still for an extended period of time and so her body relaxed." He explained, "And the adrenaline stopped flowing, which allowed her to succumb to the full extent of her injuries, which... They're catastrophic."
