Abhimanyu gently placed his hand on Avyansh's shoulder, guiding him through the crowded mall. But the moment his grip tightened slightly, Avyansh flinched in pain, his body stiffening.
Abhimanyu immediately noticed, his eyes narrowing as he watched Avyansh subtly adjust his shirt, trying to hide the discomfort. as he saw Avyansh's fingers tugging at the fabric to cover his arm, his anger flared.
He hadn't asked Avyansh about the abuse, respecting the boy's unspoken wish to keep that part of his life hidden. But seeing the signs now-the flinch, the way he tried to conceal his pain-ignited a rage within him that he hadn't felt in a long time.
He clenched his fists, struggling to maintain his composure. The man responsible for this had already met his end, but for the first time, he regretted making it swift. That man didn't deserve a quick death; he deserved to be brutally tortured for every scar he had left on this boy.
But that was a decision already made, a path that couldn't be changed. The only thing he could do now was ensure that Avyansh would never suffer like that again. He would take care of the boy, protect him, and give him the chance to heal.
As he walked beside Avyansh, his anger simmering just beneath the surface, He silently vowed that he would make sure the boy never had to hide his pain again.
After the tension at the mall, Abhimanyu decided to take Avyansh to a nearby restaurant.
He didn't have much experience with children, and even less with trying to make them feel comfortable, but he knew the boy needed to eat something.
As they entered the upscale restaurant, every staff member turned their attention to Abhimanyu, their faces showing a mix of respect and caution. It wasn't often that someone of Abhimanyu Singh Rajput's stature graced their establishment, and they knew better than to take it lightly. The manager himself hurried over, his demeanor slightly nervous but getting more confident when Abhimanyu gavehim a curt nod.
Avyansh noticed the way everyone treated Abhimanyu-with deference and a hint of fear. The staff were polite but clearly on edge, their gazes flicking to him as they took in the presence of this powerful man.
They were led to a private table near the back of the restaurant, away from prying eyes. Abhimanyu sat across from Avyansh, his posture relaxed yet commanding, but as they settled in, the silence between them grew thick with awkwardness. Abhimanyu wasn't used to small talk, and the weight of the conversation he needed to start hung in the air, the silence between them stretched.
Abhimanyu Finally broke the silence. "What would you like to eat?"
Avyansh shook his head, staring down at the menu without really seeing it. "I'm not hungry," he murmured.
Abhimanyu's eyes narrowed slightly, but he kept his tone even. "You should try to eat a little. If you don't feel like finishing it, you can leave it."
Avyansh hesitated, then gave a small nod, more out of obedience than appetite.
He ordered something simple, barely paying attention to what it was. The silence returned, heavy and uncomfortable. Abhimanyu wasn't sure how to bridge the gap between them. He wasn't used to this,to caring, to trying to make someone else feel at ease. He was a man of action, not words, and this situation left him feeling out of his depth.
Just as the tension became almost
unbearable, Adhya appeared, her face lighting up as she spotted them. Her lecture had ended, and she had decided to join them."you know, this could make headlines, Abhimanyu Singh Rajput spotted in a restaurant, and it's not for a business deal."she said, leaning in with a conspiratorial tone.
