The living room was dimly lit. Adhya and Avyansh sat on the couch, a bowl of popcorn between them,as they watched a movie. Adhya had chosen something lighthearted, hoping to lift Avyansh’s spirits after the long day they had.

Avyansh tried to focus on the screen, but his mind kept wandering. He glanced at the clock on the wall,12:00 PM. It was late, and Abhimanyu wasn’t back yet. A knot of worry tightened in his stomach.

He knew Abhimanyu was a powerful man, someone who could take care of himself, but he couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling gnawing at him.

Di....bhaiya kab tak ayenge?” Avyansh asked softly.

Adhya turned to him, her expression softening. “He doesn’t have a set time, Avy. He usually comes home late. That’s just how his work is.”

Avyansh bit his lip, unable to hide his anxiety. The thought of Abhimanyu out there, working late into the night, made him uneasy.

Noticing the worry in his eyes, Adhya placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry, Avy. He’s done this a thousand times before. He’ll be back soon.”

Avyansh nodded, but the fear didn’t leave him. The movie continued playing, but his mind was elsewhere, focused entirely on the man who had taken him in and given him a sense of safety he had never known before.

“Kya hum unhe phone kar sakte hai…” Avyansh asked hesitantly.

Adhya thought for a moment. “Well, he usually doesn’t pick up during work, but we can try.”

Meanwhile, in a dark, abandoned
warehouse on the outskirts of the city, Abhimanyu and Aditya stood over a man
tied to a chair. The air was thick with the stench of sweat and fear. The man was
bruised and battered, his face a mask of terror as he stared up at the two figures
looming over him.

Abhimanyu’s eyes were cold, His usual stoic demeanor was sharpened to a dangerous edge, a predator sizing up his prey.

“You’ve got one last chance to tell me everything,” he said, his voice low and menacing.

The man shook his head frantically, blood dripping from a cut on his lip. “I-I don’t know anything, I swear!”

Aditya stepped forward, his usual cheerfulness replaced with a dark intensity. He grabbed the man by the collar, yanking him forward. “Wrong answer,” he hissed.

Abhimanyu’s patience was wearing thin. He had dealt with scum like this before, gang
members who sold teenage girls, ruined lives, and profited off the suffering of others. He knew this man was part of a larger network, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

“You think we’re playing games?”

Abhimanyu’s voice was ice-cold as he took a step closer, pulling a knife from his pocket. He ran the blade lightly across the man’s cheek, not enough to cut, but enough to make the man flinch in fear. “Start talking, or I’ll make you wish you had.”

Aditya watched silently, knowing this side of his best friend too well. There was a reason
Abhimanyu Singh Rajput was feared in their world, his ruthlessness knew no bounds when it came to dealing with those who crossed him.

The man whimpered, tears mixing with the blood on his face. “Please… mujhe kuch nahi pata. They don’t tell me anything important!”
Abhimanyu’s expression didn’t change. He knew the type, men who played innocent, who begged for mercy after committing unspeakable acts. But there was no mercy in his world.

“Who’s running this operation?” he demanded, his voice a deadly whisper.

Before the man could respond, Abhimanyu’s phone rang, interrupting the tense moment. He glanced at the screen and saw Avyansh’s name flashing. For a split second, his cold exterior softened. He answered the call, turning slightly away from the man in the chair.
