You have been in a relationship with your boyfriend for about 2 years now. Everything was always sweet and kind between you both, but after two years everything changed. Tom, your boyfriend started to lose interest in you and found himself talking to other woman.

You tried to talk about it with him a few times, but he didn't even listen to you. You were aware of him cheating on you, tried to break up, but he didn't let you go. Your happiness and wellbeing slowly drifted away and you had no right to speak up for yourself. Weeks pass and you are still quiet, just living in his dreams and doing everything he says.

Your childhood best friend Lando was currently in Spain, where you lived and texted you to see if you were up for a chill day with him. You of course agreed to it, but couldn't let your boyfriend know.

„Tom, I have a doctors appointment today. I wont be home until 8pm." You lied to him about your plans, just hoping he wouldn't want to go with you due to his lac of trust for you.

„Doctors appointment? Are you sure you have nothing to hide? Because if I find out it won't be so nice for you." His voice firm and his expression serious.

„Im not hiding anything Tom, Im serious." You lied again, wanting to leave as quick as possible.

„Fine, go. But remember what I said." You nood in response and leave the apartment with a smile on your face. You were finally free for a few hours, meeting your dearest friend.

You walked to the cafe you both were supposed to catch up. You knew Lando would probably be late a few minutes, as always. You sat down at a table and took out your phone to see if there were any new notifications from Tom or Lando. As you were about to call Lando, he walked into the cafe, looking around for you. When he spotted you his smile grew bigger and his expression changed to excitement.

„Oh my gosh, is that Y/n?" He joked and immediately opened his arms for you.

„Not you again." You responded to his joke, standing up to embrace him in your arms.

„Yeah I am excited as well." He laughed and let go of you.

„How's life been? I saw you won two races?!" You spoke excitedly, knowing how much time and energy it costed him to get to the point of winning in F1.

„I did. Was good standing on the top of the podium." He smiled and sipped at the drink you ordered for you both.

„I was so proud of you Lan."

„Thank you Y/n, really, it means a lot. How is your life going, finally broke up with that asshole?" His voice becoming a bit more serious at the end of his sentence.

„No, I didn't, but I really tried. You know it is not easy." Your expression softened at his question, knowing he wouldn't like the answer.

Lando couldn't understand why he was so obsessed with you, he cheated on you and talked with other woman, showing that you weren't important to him anymore, but still he didn't want to let you go. Lando was frustrated inside knowing he wouldn't be able to do anything in this situation, but he couldn't hide his feelings too. He felt a different kind of Love for you. Not a friend kind, but a serious relationship one.

„Why is it so hard to let go Y/n? You don't love him anymore?"

„It is not about me Lando. He doesn't want to break up, I tried, not once, not twice, but three times." You explained yourself to him, hoping he would understand the situation you are in.

„I have a question to you." He spoke again after a second of silence.

„Yes, go ahead."

„Are you a hundred percent sure you don't want him anymore? No love, no feelings?" He asks his face serious.

„I am sure Lan. I don't want him anymore. I started to feel that way a while ago."

„Move to Monaco. He won't find you there. Just take all your things and move out Y/n. There is a apartment near mine, which is being sold. I will buy it, I want you to be safe and near me. I want to enjoy my memories with you." You stayed quiet, analyzing everything he just said to you. You wanted to say yes, but you were afraid.

„I can't just disappear Lan."

„Please Y/n. Change your number, change all your social media accounts, just leave him behind. I can't let you stay here knowing that he was abusing you a few months ago. You don't deserve a life like that, you are the cutest and smartest human I know. You always help everyone, let me help you once. Please dear." He was almost begging you at that point.

„Lando, Monaco is expensive. I don't think I could afford to live there."

„I will help you. I will pay your bills and buy that apartment. Just please think about yourself at once, I can't just sit here and pretend I don't see the bruise on your wrist you try to hide with your hand. You are hurting yourself Y/n by staying with him."

„Ok, but I will really need your help then. You know I don't know anything about living there."

„I will always be there for you Y/n, always by your side."
