For Aaniyah
I woke up at 8:45 and knowing my boyfriend Kevin Durant had to be at practice at 9:30. I went downstairs and started making breakfast for my three year old daughter Lillie and Kevin. As I finished her Mickey Mouse shaped pancake she came into the kitchen. "Good morning mommy." She said climbing into a chair. "Good morning." I said putting her Mickey blueberry pancake on a plate and giving it to her. After 5 minutes I had Kevin's breakfast ready. He came downstairs ready for practice. I handed him the plate. He smiled "Good morning gorgeous." He said kissing my lips. "Good morning. Which car are you taking because Lillie and I are going shopping. I was thinking we could take the Porsche." I continued to chop my fruit for my fruit salad. "Alright that's fine. What time will you be home?" He asked eating. "Uh I don't know 6:00 you need to be leaving. It's almost 9:00." He stood up clearing his plate and putting in the sink. He turned to me kissing my lips. "Love you don't do anything stupid." I said seriously. "I wont. " he laughed. "Bye daddy I love you." Lillie said he lifted her up and kissed her cheek. "I love you too princess. " We finished breakfast and got ready. After about an hour and a half of shopping. Lillie started to get sleepy. At our house I noticed Kevin's car was outside. I walked in and put Lillie in her bed and shut her door. I walked towards the bed room and heard moans. I opened the door to see some blonde girl on top of Kevin. "Really Kevin? Again while I'm pregnant with your child!" I screamed tears burning my cheeks. "No I can explain." He said pushing the girl off of him. I ignored him grabbing two suitcases and and filling one with my stuff and the other with Lillie's stuff. I grabbed both suitcases and put them in my range rover Kevin following behind me. I went upstairs and grabbed Lillie out of her bed still asleep. I put her in her booster seat and drove to Kaylee's house. "He cheated again so I left and now me and Lillie have no where to go." I said crying into her shoulder. "You can stay here as long as you want. You did the right thing." She hugged me tighter. It's been 3 days without Kevin and it's killing me but I have to fake a smile for Lillie's sake. I knew not being with Kevin was killing my emotionally and physically. I had to talk to him. He texted me and asked me I meet with him. When I got there he had a bouquet of flowers. He handed me the flowers and I sat down. "Thanks." I said. "No problem. The reason I wanted to talk is because I have some news. " He looked down. "She's pregnant." He finished. I couldn't find words. I couldn't believe it. "Which one?" I asked tears running down my cheeks. "Katie." He nearly whispered. Katie was the first girl he cheated with. I grabbed my purse and walked towards the door. "Aaniyah wait!" He yelled. I kept walking tears streaming down my eyes. No matter how bad it hurt I just couldn't go back to him. I couldn't help but cry. I sat in Kaylee's drive way for 15 minutes. I dried my face and went in to see my daughter. "Mommy!" She yelled. "Hey baby." I laughed. "Can you go up slag airs and play so I can talk to Auntie Kaylee?" I asked. She nodded and ran out of the room. "So how was it?" She asked. I broke down. She ran over to me not asking why I was even crying. "She's pregnant." I whispered sobbing into her shoulder. She hugged me tighter. It's been two days and I can't sleep. I miss him so much words can't even begin to explain. Part of my wants to go back because I know I'm suffering mentally and physically but the other half knows I don't deserve to get cheated on as many times as I did. It's been three days and I haven't slept. I haven't spoken to Kevin in a week. But I know I have to stay strong for the sake of my baby girl. It was around noon when Kaylee called my name. Lillie was at daycare. I went down stairs to see Kevin all dressed up in a suit. "You look beautiful." I nodded signaling for him to get to the point. "I just want to start by saying I'm sorry for everything I've put you through. I guess the saying you never know what you have until it's gone is true." He finished looking down. "She took a test. The baby isn't mine." He was still looking down. He looked up at me. He had teas in his eyes. I pulled him into a hug. When he pulled back he looked into my eyes and slowly made his way to one knee. "This past week with out you and my daughter was the worst week of my life and that helped me realize I need you. Your the only one I want and I promise you I'm all for you and only you. I want I continue to build out family an I want to be there for our baby boy. " he paused rubbing my stomach. He smiled at me. "Aaniyah will you marry me?" My eyes filled with tears. I couldn't find words. I nodded "yes. Yes yes yes." He slid the ringer on my finger. He stood up and kissed me. I missed him so much. He pulled me into a hug. "I love you so much Kevin." I smiled resting my head on his chest. He kissed my forehead. "Daddy!" Lillie screamed. We broke apart turning around to see our daughter. He ran to him and he hugged us both. We belong together. I thought.
