Skase: A new age

Chapter 1: The beginning

It was a sunny day in adventure bay, the winds were blowing peacefully, no clouds in the sky, it was a great day to be at the beach! That's exactly what the Paw Patrol were doing, having fun at the beach. Zuma and Marshal playing in the water, Skye flying a kite with Everest (she came down for the week), rocky picking up trash, rubble building a sand castle, and Chase sitting with his owner watching the pups play and have fun. "It really is great to be back home" Chase thought to himself. He watched as marshal to no surprise had a big wipe out. He giggled watching zuma be pulled down with him. "Such good pups arnt they?" Ryder asked Chase while petting him, "They really are". Chase watched rubble build his sandcastle, "he's moving fast" he thought to himself. He moved his attention to Skye and Everest, "Skye is amazing at flying kites" he thought. He found himself starring at her for a while until he realized they were looking at him. "Crap" he thought looking away. "Something wrong Chase?" Ryder asked noticing chases sudden movement. "No sir, just enjoying the beach". Ryder nodded and went back to reading his magazine.

-Everest POV-

"Everest did you see that?? Chase was starring at me!!" Skye said to her best friend, "Yea I'm sure he was" she replied with slight sarcasm in her voice. Both Her and Skye had a massive crush on the Shepard but only Everest knew of this. She made a mental agreement that whoever gets Chase first gets to date him. And despite Skye being her best friend she wasn't going to let that happen. "You know Skye, marshal is pretty great too! I think he'd make a good boyfriend for youuuu". "Everest are you trying to tell me you have feelings for marshal?!". This is not what I wanted to happen. "No I meant a good boyfriend for you silly", "oh, well he's nice and funny and all but he's not Chase. He's not strong, brave, or fast like Chase is. Chase is who I want to be with forever." Skye said looking at her kite. I love Skye don't get me wrong shes an amazing bestie, but she is way too head over heels for Chase, I mean it was obvious he was starring at me....

Right?

-Marshal POV-

Marshal and Zuma swam back to shore, "I'm sorry for the wipeout. I really thought I had it there!" "Awww don't worry about it dudeeee, it was your first time rocking the waves, everyone has their moments!" Zuma replied. I was relieved to hear that because I felt kinda bad for messing up his surfing.
"Hey do you think you could help me with something?" Marshal asked. "Of course dude! What do you need?", "I need girl help, and since you helped Ryder get with Katie I was wondering if you could help me with my Everest situation." "Dude you know me man. I always can help you!"
"Thanks Zuma you're the best" Zuma is such a good friend, he's like a brother to me. I'm so glad he can help me with Everest, I've liked- no LOVED her ever since Ive laid eyes on her. Ever since then my feelings for her grew and grew every time we played or hung out.
I've been trying to do everything to try to get her to like me back. I just love her fur, her eyes, here smell, her sweet, hot, kissable mou-. "And that's how you can start a conversation with Everest and see if she likes you back!"

Wait what. Oh crap I wasn't listening

"Sorry Zuma, I zoned out there for a sec. What were you saying again? Heh" "Oh marshal, I was basically saying all you had to do is ask her what her favorite movie is, so you can say you've never seen it before so she can show you it. Or you can agree that it's your favorite movie too so yall should watch it together. Either way a win win" Zuma finished

"Zuma you are a genius, a girl guru might I add" "Ha it's nothing marshal. Now go get that girl!" Marshal now having a plan starts walking over to Everest and Skye.

-Chase POV-

Beautiful, Chase thought looking at Skye. Only this time he made sure not to stare, she is so beautiful, I love how her ears sway with the wind, my heart beats for her like no other. I can't believe how far we've come. I remember the day Ryder brought her home. To be honest at the time I wanted nothing to do with her. Yes I was one of those pups who thought girls had flees, but most male pups were like that at first. Anyways after a while I grew to like Skye, more than you would to a friend. I liked her MORE than a friend
I didn't know what that meant at the time but I'm pretty sure I know now.
Crap I was starring again. I hope they didn't see me. "Chase now I know something is up. You moved your head way too fast again. What's up?" Ryder asked. "Ryder sir can I be honest with you?" I asked "of course"

"I think I- no I know I love Skye, but idk if she loves or even likes me back. For all I know she could see me as a brother. Now that would be weird.
But anyways I've just been stressing you know? I just love everything about her, she's the perfect pup. But that's also why I don't think the feelings are mutual.

I'm not a perfect pup, I will admit I am very uptight and by the book a lot. And I'm trying better to loosen up but it's hard sir. I am nowhere near her level of amazingness. I just wish I could know how she felt"

I looked at Ryder, clearly he was trying to process what was just said to him.

"Well Chase, let me start with I know how you feel. I've been in your situation with Katie, but look at where we are now! We're a couple! I believe in you Chase. You just have to have confidence"

"I thought you were officer chase, the police pup, fearless leader. I know you deep down you know you're the one for her. But you have to let it out and admit that you are the one and trust yourself. I know it's hard but when the time is right. It'll be worth it. Okay?" Ryder finished

I starred at him for a couple of seconds. Thinking about what he just told me. "You know what Ryder!" I started "You're right. I'm Chase the police pup! I can do this!" I said. "Justtttt not right now, I'd like to enjoy this time to relax." "I understand Chase. It's good not to rush things" Ryder told me

It was at this point I saw Zuma talking to Marshal. What's going on there? I thought, I soon after saw marshal walk over to Everest. He was halfway there before I heard Ryder say "What's wrong? A GIANT WAVE FLIPPED YOUR BOAT OVER? This sounds like the job for the paw patrol!" Ryder then pulled his pad out and called all the pups to the lookout. "Ryder needs us!" We all said
