Chapter 9: Gone

                                -Chase POV-

*Yawn*, I wake up. Still in a sleepy state I look to me right and see Skye laying on me, I soon remember what happened and smile. Skyes mine, I remember every moment from when I told Everest and marshal to sleep inside to me and Skye kissing. I kiss Skye on the nose, "Wake uppp, it's morning time!" She yawns and slowly opens her eyes. "Goodmorning Chase hehe" we both stand up, stretch, and share a kiss. "How did you sleep last night?" I ask Skye, "I slept great! How about you?" "I slept amazing, especially after what happened last night." I joked.

"Oh Chase " Skye said sarcastically, "I think it's time to wake the other love pups" I say pointing to the door of my pup house. I walk over and slowly open the door, to my surprise I see the Dalmatian spooning the husky. "Awwwww" Skye cood, "They are so cuteeee", "you think we should let them sleep in? It is pretty early" I asked looking at Skye. "Hmmm, well you are right, the sun is barely up. Let's clean up the place and once we're finished we can wake them up!" "That's a great idea Skye!" I said walking to the now burnt out fire, I began to pick up all the dead branches. Now I wasn't rocky, so I didn't have a trash bag anywhere. So I thought the next best thing was to put them all in a small hole.

I started to dig a hole while Skye began to grab all the burnt branches to me. Once I finished I continued working to dispose of the branches, I was almost done when I looked up and saw Skye looking at a yellow flower. It was odd to me because she hated the color yellow, I finished my work and walked over to Skye. To which I found out she wasn't looking at the flower but rather a butterfly. "I love butterflies, they are so pretty" Skye said as she watched the butterfly flutter to another flower.

"I like butterflies too, my favorite one is the blue and black one" I replied joining her with the butterfly. "I have a favorite butterfly too! But unfortunately it's extinct. It was a beautiful shade of pink with an amazing white stripe down the center. I've only ever saw it once when I was younger in a flower field. I hope one day sooner rather than later there somehow is an another one of those butterflies" Skye looked at me and smiled, all this talk about butterflies and here I am getting butterflies from her smile.

"I think it's time to wake them up. It has been a good bit and we finished cleaning" I told her. She nodded and joined me as we both walked to the puphouse entrance, "Hey lover boy. Wake up" I giggled trying to mock marshal. Slowly they both woke up and looked at each other nose touching. They giggled and looked at us, "looks like some pups had a good night" Skye joked. "Heheh yea, ig we should probably explain" marshal said blushing. "No need" chase said with a smile. "We can put the pieces together" he laughed winking at the new couple. "Well guys. It's time to hit the road!" Skye said doing a backflip.

We all gathered on my cruiser and took off, finally on the way home. During the ride home we talked a lot and laughed a lot. We even told each other that we were dating our partners! It really was a great day, despite the reason we were out here we all learned a lesson.

Finally, after what felt like forever of driving I could see adventure bay in the distance. But more importantly I could see the lookout, I started to drive faster eager to be back home. When we arrived to park we saw that Rocky, Rubble, Zuma, and Ryder were home! All 4 of us ran inside to greet our family, "RYDER" "ZUMA, ROCKY, RUBBLE!" We all yelled jumping on our family as the other pups ran and covered us with licks. "PUPS IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU, I WAS SO WORRED WHEN WE CAME HOME TO SEE YOU GUYS GONE" Ryder said hugging the four of us. "We're so sorry Ryder, it will all make sense. I think you should sit down first" I said. Me and the other three pups began explaining the whole story from when we got into the argument to all of us dating someone.

Ryders face was unreadable, he seemed worried, happy, angry, and confused all at the same time. He eventually spoke saying "Well I'm just glad you pups are okay! We were on quite the adventure ourselves" he said starting to explain about what happened from the beginning wave to  the machine that nearly killed them. We were all shocked as Ryder explained their crazy journey. "Ryder I'm so glad you're okay!" Skye yipped as she jumped on Ryder and licked him. "Looks like we all need some time to relax from all our adventures." Ryder laughed.
