Chapter 8: Love

                                   -Skye POV-

I'm sorry did I hear that right? Did Everest say "The pup I love" and "I'm not talking about Chase"??? Wait a second does that mean.... "Everest? Do you love marshal?" I asked with a slightly shocked tone. Everest bit her lip, "Yea, I'm not sure how it happened. But I'm guessing when I thought about it. Marshal has been there for me every time I needed him. So it feels natural that I'm feeling connected to him all of a sudden" she explained. Well now that's something, my best friend has a crush on marshal? THAT MEANS THAT CHASE US MINE. YES!

I do feel bad however about the way I've been acting towards her, I mean it is my actions that caused Chase and marshal to be buried in the first place. I think it's my turn to try and help fix mine and everests bond.

"Everest, I'm sorry too. It was my fault that the boys are now stuck in that cave, I'm sorry for acting like I wanted to leave you with that freak, even though deep down I knew I didn't want to because you are my best friend Everest. I wouldn't ever want anything to happen to you, I'm so sorry for arguing and getting mad like I did back there. And you're right. The pups we love are in that cave. So what do you say? Friends?" I asked holding out my paw

"Sisters" she said taking it.

"Great! Now let's go get chases cruiser" I said as I was already on to move to get it. After we maneuvered through the trees, we finally arrived at the road where Chase pulled over. The moment I sat in his seat I could smell his scent, don't worry Chase. I thought, we're going to get you out and go home.

I started the vehicle and started to drive into the forest, as I fit the vehicle between the trees we finally reached the rockslide that covered the cave, luckily by now the rain cleared up and the sun is out. So hopefully the wheels won't slip while trying to pull the bottom rock.

"I'm going to get the hook set up" Everest said as she grabbed the hook with her mouth and pulled it over to a medium sized rock and wrapped it tightly around it. "DRIVE" she yelled, I stepped on the gas as hard as I could and started driving in reverse. The wheels dug into the ground until they finally found grip beneath the damp ground.

I pressed the gas harder and harder until I heard a snap and the cruiser flew back. I stepped on the break and luckily the cruiser was still intact, the rope however was not.

"Skye the rope! It's broken!!" Everest said looking at the rope. I jumped down and looked, the rock was almost fully taken out, "We have to pull it out ourselves" I said grabbing the rope in my mouth and pulling, "Everest please help! I need you" she nodded and grabbed the rope too. We both pulled as hard as we could before we started to feel the rock start moving. "KEEP GOING" I shouted as I kept pulling on the rope.

"You got this!" We heard someone yelled, It was Chase! He can hear us trying to get them out. "COME ON YOU CAN DO IT" I heard marshal cheer. We pulled and pulled until we finally got the rock out, soon after all the rocks began to fall down. And when all the dust from the rocks cleared there stood the loves of our life. "CHASE!" "SKYE" We yelled running at each other and hugging. "I knew you could do it" Chase whispered hugging me tighter. "EVEREST!" "MARSHAL!" I heard them yell running to each other. "EVEREST YOU DID IT" Marshall cheered hugging Marshall.

"No marshal, we did it" She said looking at me. Me and Chase broke the hug and I walked over to Everest high fiveing her. "Looks like yall made up!" Chase said happily, "I'm glad because I can't let the 2 girls on the team hate her other" he laughed. I looked at Everest,

It really is good to have my sister back.
