Inhaling a breath to calm myself. It wouldn't be appropriate to kill someone from the place you want to learn their magic from."You may enter, but be warned any malicious activity will be not be tolerated." This pretentious little shit, I thought before walking in. Just as I was a few meters away the box exploded and he was turned completely pink. From his skin to his hair.
"It will fade in a month. Do not say I am not a benevolent god." I ignore his outrageous shouts. More than he deserves I thought. Sometimes I surprise myself with my generosity, if it was any other day he would have already been killed. Who does he think he can disrespect me, my shit is worth more than him, not that I have to shit. Since I improved my waste disposal centuries ago.
He most likely thought I was just a random noble who wanted to learn sorcery and thought himself above me because he can use magic.
Probably not the best first impression I am making, at least I am teaching one of the people here not to be so disrespectful. I walk by a few monks who are training in a courtyard. One sorcerer coming from a different direction walks up to me.
"I am Master Shifu. The Sorcerer Supreme is expecting you. Follow me."
I follow the Asian looking monk. Along the way, I see a lot of different artifacts. I control my greedy and curious fingers from snatching and studying them. After a while, I enter a room with a bald lady sitting at a table drinking tea.
"Hello there." I greet and see that she has the Eye Of Agamotto on. "You know, most people would be more cautious when it concerns an infinity stone."
"Prince Loki, what can we masters of mystic arts do for you." She says as she peacefully ships her tea.
I am not really surprised she knows about me, Jormungandr had a run-in with a few of these people a while back. I don't really overly covet the time stone. I would rather not weaken a group of people who keeps a lot of cosmic being out of this dimension.
"For starters, I wouldn't mind some tea." She gives me a full cup of tea. I start sipping. "To be honest, I would like to study here."
She gets a thoughtful look and thinks for several "I would allow it if you agree to protect the earth for the 1000 years if needed."
"Is that all? Asgard has been a protector of Midgard for thousands of years and it would continue to be so for the foreseeable future."
She nods. "That is all I ask, but I prefer your personal touch." She most likely decided this concession since she likely knows disallowing me admission to study here wouldn't be smart since I am a prince of a realm that rules many others.
I nod and watch as she comes closer to me and touches my chest. I am transported from my body to the astral plane. From there it was basically an LCD trip as I traversed thousands of dimensions in a split second.
It truly was beautiful and scary how small you are in the grand scheme of thing. Luckily I had my memory so I can relive this breathtaking scene as much as I want.
"Damn that's a rush." I let out a few gasps. "I haven't felt like that since I ate that a few magical mushrooms on Asgard."
She chuckles. "As expected, you took it better than most."
"Please, a random planet outside of this galaxy worships an eldritch being because I got drunk and used my magic to visit in the shape of a tentacle monster, I doubt a lot of things can faze me."
"Okay let's start our first lesson. The language of the mystic arts is as old as civilization. The sorcerers of antiquity called the use of this language spells. You can call it a program, the source code that shapes reality. Different from Asgardians who can use magic from their own reserves we harness energy drawn from other dimensions of the Multiverse to cast spells to conjure shields and weapons to make magic."
She gives me a quick rundown of things. "Since you are known to be a magic practitioner, I don't doubt you can learn on your own. You can readily make use of the library. Would you prefer to stay here or live somewhere else and teleport back every time?"
"I would prefer to stay somewhere else, plus it has been a while since I have visited Midgard so I want to enjoy what new innovations this century brought."
From then on I began to read and study the books with speed unlike another. I almost pity the people who have to spend 5 minutes on a page just to remember it when I can only glance at it and achieve a better effect.
It has been a year since I joined and I had the brilliant idea to use mind magic to make studying somewhat enjoyable, I was always afraid of using mind magic on myself, but I have long since improved my skills for it to be completely safe for me.
When I wasn't reading I was practising the sorcerer's magic which consisted of screwing around with eldritch magic as well fuck around with dimensions. Those were the areas that were more advanced than the Asgardians version since they specialize in that area. The portal thing is fun, though it is slower to use than my usual teleportation.
Hela:
I was busy reading one of the books Loki wrote, A song of Ice and Fire when I felt someone teleport near me. I look up and saw Loki standing there with a smile that I have gotten familiar with, one that told me he was about to do something stupid.
Before I got a chance to reply an orange glow of energy started opening up behind him. Many more of those circles eldritch energy opened up behind him."Hela dear, if you want to emulate Gilgamesh with that one-trick pony thing you call a fighting style, I will show how to do it probably."
As he finished saying his statement, thousands of ice spears flew out all aiming for me. I doubt I could dodge so I created a shield in front of me and dodged as I felt a portal opening up from behind and a spear coming from behind.
I look offer at him laughing madly and had a sudden urge to kick his balls in, but I like those too much to willingly destroy them. I regret scoffing at his title of god of chaos. I could understand magic since he harasses anyone who only specializes in one field. I see it now, he is unpredictable in his stupidity, truly god of chaos.
Loki:
Sitting in the bath with Hela sitting against my chest, washing all the blood of from Hela and myself.
"You better have a good explanation."She says.
"I wanted to see if my new move would be effective to my fighting style and judging by your wounds I say it works perfectly."
She sighs and rubs her temple. "I can't believe you sometimes. It feels like I am talking to a child. Let me guess you still live in your palace with your parents too."
"What of course not." I lie unconvincingly.
She turns around and looks at me for a second before laughing. "I can't believe you still live with your parents, don't you have a child. I can't believe I have such a shameful lover."
Damn, she has me there I think. "Aren't you technically homeless? Living worse than a commoner on Asgard."
"So you have a homeless paramour, I don't see how that makes you look better, darling."
I curse her sound logic in my head before she interrupts our banter by kissing. She backs away after a minute and sexily bites her lip. Let's just say I got out of the bath with wrinkly skin.
