it was emily's idea for kai to tell lynn she liked her, mainly because she didn't want to hear about it anymore and she knew lynn didn't like her like that.
but when kai got a text back, she couldn't tell if she was upset or surprised.
"she doesn't like me back." kai said, putting her phone down on emily's bed.
"aw, i'm sorry kai, but there's other people. you literally can have a crush on everybody." emily said, putting her hand on her shoulder.
"it's fine." kai said, texting her back.
"what did you say?" emily questioned.
"oh, uh, that its fine." kai wasn't paying attention when her phone buzzed, trying her hardest to not let her jaw drop.
"are you sure you're alright?" emily asked. she started to feel a little bad for kai, she was her cousin after all and getting rejected hurts.
"i gotta go to the bathroom." she said, getting up from the bed and leaving emily's room.
the girl made a hm sound and went back to her phone.
on monday, lynn was nervous to see emily. even though kai was gonna help her, (somehow, she sent her a photo of plans she had on her whiteboard)
"lynn, are you good? you're spacing out." margo asked her, snapping her back to reality.
"uh, yeah, i'm good." lynn said, she still hasn't told anyone other than kai and luna about her crush, and it was gonna stay that way.
and out of the corner of her eye, she saw emily, with vi.
what the fuck is she doing with vi?
emily rushed over to lynn, "hey loud, oh and margo and paula." she smiled at the 3 girls, and the two girls waved back.
"hey, em. what is she doing here?" lynn asked, pointing at vi.
vi scoffed, "nice to see you too, lynn."
"i forgot to tell you, vi didn't tell sienna about you know what and she apologized." emily said, not entirely sure if margo or paula knew about what happened at the kangaroo hop.
