Gabbie's heart pounded as she stood outside of Akela's door. Y/n's best friend Akela was staying with them for the time being. Y/n currently wasn't home as she was away on a business trip in Seattle.

She could hear the faint sound of Akela's voice coming through the door. Gabbie's hand trembled as she reached for the doorknob, her mind racing with a million thoughts. She had never intended for this to happen, she didn't know what she was going to do or what she would say to her girlfriend.

With a deep breath she pushed the door open. Akela was sitting on the bed, wearing her red silk pajamas. She looked up as Gabbie entered the room. Her eyes sparkled with surprise and curiosity.

Gabbie's breath got caught in her throat as she took in the sights of her girlfriend's best friend. They were so alike, yet so different in many ways.

One difference Gabbie could tell was that Y/n would never kiss her best friend significant other. Akela on the other hand would. "Gabbie....I wasn't expecting you." Gabbie sighed, her mouth all of a sudden was very dry. "We need to talk." She stammered, taking a small step forward.

"Talk? Is that what you wanna do?" Akela's words hung in the air. Gabbie wanted to turn back and leave, but her body was going against her. She took another step forward, becoming even closer to Akela. "I didn't mean for anything to happen. It shouldn't have happened. I'm with your best friend."

"Akela leaned back onto her arms, "Your right, it shouldn't have happened." Gabbie felt herself smiling on the inside. They both agreed that the kiss was a mistake and maybe they could just forget that it ever happened.

"But....I wanted it to happen." Akela slowly got up from her position on the bed. She now stood infront of Gabbie, her hands trailing Gabbie shoulder. "I like you Gabbie and Y/n doesn't deserve you." Gabbie felt herself frowning at Akela's words. She'd thought everything was all good.

"I-I, no we can't."

Akela put on a fake pout, "Oh come on Gabs. Y/n doesn't have to know." Gabbie hesitantly stood there. Cheating on her girlfriend with her best friend? She knew it wasn't a good idea, but something inside was telling her to do it. "No." She fought. Gabbie backed away from Akela and walked out the door.

She leaned against the white door, trying to contain all the thoughts that were running through her head. "Oh gosh, what am I doing with my life." Gabbie ran her hands through her ponytail.

Gabbie pushed her thoughts away to the back of her head. She took a deep breath before turning around and opening the door.
