3rd pov
Y/n and Emily sat on their living room couch, their feet's tucked beneath them, savoring the stillness that came with their five-year-old being away for the weekend. Their little one was with Y/n's parents, and for the first time in months, they had the evening entirely to themselves.
Emily scrolled through Netflix, her long, athletic legs crossed at the ankles, while Y/n scrolled through her phone, her pretty smile softening as she glanced at photos of their daughter. Her mom had taken their daughter and her other cousins to Great Wolf Lodge for a sweet four day trip. Since their leave Friday, Y/n's mom had sent pictures non-stop.
The couple was very relaxed as their responsibilities were temporarily lifted.
After a couple of hours of lounging, Y/n stretched her arms above her head and sighed. "I'm going to take a bath." Emily looked up, her eyes locked on her wife's. "Okay, I'll just stay here and enjoy the peace." Y/n nodded before throwing the cover off of her and headed to the bathroom.
The scent of vanilla filled the air as she poured the bubble bath under the running water, the frothy suds rising quickly in the tub. She stripped off her clothes, her skin tingling with the promise of relaxation, and slipped into the steaming water.
