Anika’s POV :

“ Ansh, tell me what you want to eat,” Shivaay asked, kneeling down in front of his nephew, making me roll my eyes at the scene unfolding before me.

“ Chachu, if you cook something for me, I will eat it.” Ansh muttered, giving Shivaay a wide smile, making me choke on my breath.

God, is this for real ?

The one who throws tantrums here and there while eating something which is either cooked by his mother or anyone else, is ready to eat anything only if his chachu makes it.

Great !

Now another fan of his cooking skills in our family. God, aren't my mother and my brother enough to fill the space of fans that you added Ansh too ?

Damn ! Why am I a terrible cook ?

Someone knocked on the door, gaining our attention only to find Gauri at the doorstep. Nodding my head at her, I saw her walking inside the room as she turned her attention towards her son who immediately grabbed his chachu’s hand as he snuggled closer towards Shivaay’s chest, hiding in his arms.

“ Mumma, Chachu is going to cook for me, please let me be with him.” Ansh cried, hiding himself more in Shivaay’s arm as he accidentally touched the injured hand, making Shivaay yelp in pain.

“ Chachu is hurt,” Gauri moved forward, trying to get hold of her son,“ We don't want him to get in more pain, do we ?”

Ansh peeked out as he stared at her mother. Giving a thought to his mother's words, I saw him looking at Shivaay’s injured hand.

“ You are right, mumma,” Ansh moved back, surprising me.

Any kid of three years old won't understand something like this.

He is definitely Om’s son.

“ But I can cook for him,” Shivaay exclaimed, getting up as he stood straight, still holding Ansh’s hand.

“ No, bhaiya,” Gauri protested, taking a hold of her son's hand as Shivaay forwarded Ansh’s hand towards her. “ You need to rest your hand for some time, though you won't rest your body.”

“ And I have already cooked for Ansh. He will have to eat that.” Gauri stated, leaving no room for argument making the little kid pout in annoyance as he stomped his foot on the floor.

“ Hey buddy, next time I will cook for you. For now, accept your mother's meal.” Shivaay ruffled his hairs, giving him a thumbs up on which Ansh just nodded at him, clearly not happy with the decision.

“ Gauri, give me updates after coming from the office. I won't be coming today,” Shivaay said, leaving both of us in shock.

He is not going to the office.

We both, I and Gauri shared a look before I turned my attention back on the person standing in front of me who was already staring at both of us, being baffled.

“ Mumma, I am hungry now.” Ansh whined, gaining our attention.

“ Yeah, let's go,” Gauri gestured towards the door while looking at Ansh who vigorously nodded.

Seems like he gave up !

“ See you both in the evening and take care bhaiya,” Gauri muttered before walking out of the room.

I sighed looking at their retreating figure. Glancing back, I saw Shivaay standing with his cufflinks.

“ Now, help me to wear them.”
