[RYANN]
When Ryann woke up she could hear the sound of the hard rain crashing down onto the roof of her hut.
Great, I just love having to slip on the wet and cold floors of the maze while running, she thought as she rolled her eyes. Then, she also realised she was gonna be soaking wet and freezing the entire day and pushed her face into her pillow and screamed.
After she was done with her tantrum, she finally got up and changed into a pair of grey cargo pants, a dark green tank top, and threw on a navy blue hoodie. Hair hands quickly made a pretty messy braid in her blonde, curly hair.
Eh, this is good enough, Ryann thought while inspecting her braid. It didn't need to be pretty anyways, she just needed to keep her hair as tamed as possible so it didn't become a total mess in the rain. And besides, she had no one to impress. She found most of the guys there annoying, and the others were like her brothers.
She pulled her hood over her head and slipped on a pair of watertight shoes as she started walking to the kitchen. She could handle having run in the rain and getting soaked, but running in wet shoes? That was the same thing as hell for her.
When she first came up in the box 6 months earlier, most guys had stayed away from her because she was a girl and they thought she was lame. But there were a few boys who talked to her and were nice to her, boys like Newt, Alby, Ben and ,surprisingly, Gally. At first she had been really scared of Gally because he seemed mean and angry all the time, but turns out, he was actually really nice.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Newt yelling her name. She could barely hear him over the pouring rain, but she walked over to him. Newt was standing under the roof outside the kitchen, eating his breakfast.
"Why are you out here eating?" Ryann asked confused.
"Well, since like 15 chairs broke last week during the food fight, there aren't enough seats for everyone. A few of the guys sat on the floor, but thats pretty disgusting so i prefer standing out here." He answered, clearly annoyed.
"The builders still haven't fixed those?" She asked with an irritated look on her face.
"Nope, Alby's been nagging them all week to do it but apparently, they don't have time. I call that bloody bullshit, but we can't do anything about it unfortunately."
Those shanks
"I'll see if i can convince Gally to fix them, but I'm in serious need of some breakfast right now so i'll see you later."
"Yeah, see ya later." Newt called out as she walked into the kitchen.

After she had gone to get her breakfast, she joined Newt outside. Ryann found that she was in an unusually good mood, despite the rainy day. It was rare for her these days, to be in a good mood. Most mornings she dreaded to get up. And the reason was simply because she had nothing to look forward to.
She had discovered that being around Newt usually has her thinking a lot, mostly because they didn't talk much.
They would usually just sit in silence and enjoy each others company, but she didn't mind. She assumed he didn't either. And during all the thinking she did around him, a particularly odd thought popped up in her head. Last week they had been sitting by the lake whilst the others where swimming. They were just sitting there looking down at the water, when she noticed how similar her and Newt looked.
