SO IT GOES || Minho - Maze Runner

Chapter 3 - Oh

After all the commotion about the cat had calmed down, Newt saw Ryann leaning against one of the wood logs. She was staring at the walls of the maze, and he wondered what she was thinking about.

He walked over to her and sat down beside her.

"Hey." Newt said as Ryann turned her head in his direction.

"Oh, hi." She said hesitantly. "I'm sorry about before, I shouldn't have yelled. I don't like you being mad at me." She told him, looking down as she played with her fingers in her lap.

"It's okay, Ry. I know it's hard for you, and I'm not mad at you, at least not anymore."

"Yeah, but just because I struggle doesn't mean I can use that as an excuse to be straight up rude." Now she looked at him. He could see the regret in her eyes.

"Don't worry about, really. We all got freaked out when Minho just ran into the maze and no one was allowed to go after him. We're just lucky that he ran into you."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." she said and she looked ahead.

He always wondered what she was thinking about when she zoned out like that. He had noticed she did it quite often.

His thoughts were interrupted by Ryann's voice.

"Do you think we'll ever get out of here?" she asked.

"I'm not sure Ry, but if we do, how can we be sure that it's not worse out there than in here?"

With a long sigh she said "Yeah, it scares me a little, you know."

"Mhm" and we both fell quiet.

After sitting a while in silence, Ryann got up and started a conversation with her runner friends. Newt stayed put, until he heard shouting behind him.

He turned around and was not surprised with the sight infront of him. Everyone had gathered in a circle around Gally and Aaron, who were currently fighting.

It was quite common for Gally to try and fight people during bonfires, and Aaron always wanted to be his opponent. Most of the time he lost, but he did have a few lucky wins.

Newt turned around to watch the show and spotted Minho standing alone.

He went over to him decided he would try to get to know him.

"Hey, Minho" He said as he approached.

"Hey, do they start fights like these often?" Minho asked.

"Yeah, Gally is the unbeatable winner, with a few exceptions of course." He responded.

"Who has beaten him?" Newt could see the curiousity in his eyes.

"Well, Aaron has beaten him about 3 times and Ryann 5. Other from that no one has been able to win over him."

"Ryann? Isn't she like 5'4?" Minho asked with a surprised look.

"Yup, everyone was shocked the first and second time, after that we got used to it. Now he refuses to fight her because he's ashamed."

Newt took a sip of his drink before continuing.

"She might not be very tall, but she has good technique. He is also stronger, but Ryann does work out and runs the maze almost everyday so she isn't exactly weak. Gallys problem is that he's to eager and aggressive, so Ryann took advantage of that."

"And I'm guessing Gally made and excuse and said he just let her win because she's a girl?" Minho said half laughing.

"Well, he did try to, but we all saw him try his very best to win, so denying that was pretty easy. I'm actually surprised that they're still so close. I guess he respects her for being able to win." Newt shrugged.

[MINHO]

Minho nodded and directed his attention back to the fight. As he suspected, Gally won. He wasn't entirely sure about his opinion of Gally yet, but he seemed... okay.

After winning yet another fight, Gally walked around trying to challenge a new opponent, his confidence clear.

To Minhos surprise, a girls voice spoke up.

"What do you say, Gally? Want a rematch?" Ryann said with a smirk.

"Yeah right, as if I want to embarrass myself even more." He answered and rolled his eyes. Ryann just laughed and continued her conversation with the guys she was standing with.

He looked back to Gally, intrigued by who he's going to fight next, and found him looking straight at Minho.

"Come on, Greenie. Fight me."

Minho obviously wanted to say no. Gally was both bigger and taller than him, but he realised he couldn't use that excuse after hearing about Ryann's wins.

"Fine." He answered shortly.

Now they were standing face to face inside the ring. Suddenly Gally threw the first punch, he missed. Unfortunately, Minho wasn't quick enough to stop his second punch, and he knew he was done for.

Okayy, I know i haven't updated in two months... but i have been busy with school and then i kinda just forgot about it.

Butttt now i updated and im getting started of the next chapter in like an hour bc ur girl needs to eat.

also this is unedited so there might be some typos and stuff but you'll have to live with that for now.

Again, short chapter but the next one will be longer, promise😜
