Her eyes were heavy like boulders on her shoulders; her back is stiff as dried concrete; her muscles ached badly to the point that trying to move would cause her to tear up and cry. No more could her body handle the burdens of her career. She knew her job was dangerous and controversial. Even bringing up the job could ruin any relationship she ever has.
"Fucking hell, I'm tired and I hate my job. If I were to have a job where my morals were important I would gladly take the opportunity.. but this is the life I choose to take care of myself and mother from suspicion of the TEW." She thought. As she got out of bed, her body suddenly started trembling.
The floor was cold as ice. Yet the room and everything else was warm enough to keep a person alive. But it was not the temperature of the floor but her feet were the root cause of the cold, but why didn't Germany know. She had the answers on why things get cold. The government knows why, her job, yet she forced herself to forget why. As she put on socks and left he room to the kitchen a voice spoke.
"You're just not gonna say hello to your mother." A voice said. Germany looked where the voice was coming from. A country was looking at a book before closing it and looked at Germany with a calm smile.
"You changed as a person. But not in movies, shows and books where the anti-hero learns to be a better person, but growing up to know the harsh truth of the world.". The voice said as she closed her eyes briefly.
"Mom you do realize that because of your status I was able to afford a home and items of survival. Although I am happy that I'm with you and not with him." Germany replied back.
"Well I know how much he affected your morals and ethics l, but don't ignore the fact that the world will never listen to the ones who know the truth but rather the ones whose voice can attract others." The country said as she stood up. As she walked up to Germany she went to her room. As she left her room she showed her tag to Germany.
'#8074: Weimar Republic. 23. Female. 5'7". Widow. Mother of 1. Sexually attracted to men, women and others.'
"Impressive that they try to make you a number, a pawn, in this hellhole world." Germany said. Weimar put her hand on Germany's face.
"It's alright to cry. But be careful where, since people can use it as a sign of weakness," Weimar said as she went back to her room. "Now do be careful working." She said as she entered her room.
Germany looked at her and went to the kitchen after looking at her mom for a few seconds. When she went and started the coffee machine something had caught her attention.
"Where did this coffee stain come from." She whispered to herself as she went to grab a rag and clean it. As she cleaned the coffee stain, something happened.. The stain was still there.
"Damn it. Why won't you come off!" She grunted. She added more force to the rag to remove the stain but it didn't come off. No matter what she did all that happened was that the stain was there. Germany just gave up and poured herself coffee. As she finished her coffee she went to her job. Nothing was in her mind but that coffee stain.
