Asia's POV
Bojangles
551 East Military Hwy
Norfolk, Virginia
"Welcome to Bojangles, what can I get you, Ma'am?" The Bojangles employee asked.
"I would like the 2 piece leg and thigh, dirty rice, mac and cheese, and a soda," I said.
"Alright, what about you, Ma'am?"
"I want the Bo's Chicken Sandwich combo," said Lashay.
"Will that be all?" The Bojangles employee asked.
"Yes, Ma'am," I nodded.
Lashay paid for the both of us. We both got our food, and sat down. "So, any luck with Zakeem?" Lashey asked, taking a bite of her chicken sandwich.
"Nope, but believe it or not, he was in Gym class today," I replied, eating the skin off my chicken.
"Girl, for real?"
"Yeah, I don't know what he doing, but we doing outdoor track, then some jumping jacks, and pushups, then we had get back inside the school, because of the storm."
"Girl, Virginia gets nasty thunderstorms, they sound like guns!" Lashay said. "They be shaking my house, ya feel me?"
"I know, but at least the sun is back out!" I said, gazing out the window, where the parking lot was loaded with huge puddles.
"Girl, eat the meat too!" Lashay said. "That's some good chicken, ya dig?"
"Better than KFC," I said.
"Listen to me now," said Lashay. "You need to ask Zakeem out. Y'all need to spend time together in Virginia Beach."
"The beach?" I asked.
"Yeah, the beach is a good romantic spot," said Lashay.
"Do you know his address?" I asked.
"No," said Lashay. "You gotta introduce yourself first, before you come to his house."
I thought about this for a minute. His last name was Washington, so if I looked up that surname in the phone book, I could probably narrow it down.
"Why aren't you eating your dirty rice?" Lashay asked.
"You can have it," I said.
"Thanks, babe," said Lashay.
One way or another, I will get my chance to talk to him.
