Chapter 6: Brittany's silence 🤫

Alvin's POV:

I can't believe Luke is now at our school! My one chance to be around Brittany without that jackass was snatched out of my hands just like that! *snaps his fingers* I'm going to try and spend as much time with her as I can, but even just saying hi to her was slim to none. I won't let Luke steal my girl.... OH I MEAN! *covers mouth* I won't let Luke steal my time with Brittany.

3rd person POV:

It was first period and the class was geography.
"Alright class, get your textbooks ready and turn to page 394." said Miss Smith.
(Harry Potter reference btw hehe :D)
Alvin, Brittany, Luke and Jeanette (who's also in their class btw, she's sits behind Alvin) all get out their textbooks ready to learn. Alvin not only got out his textbook but also his comic book. He uses his textbook as a shield so it looks like he's studying when in reality he is reading his comic. Otherwise he'll get a detention. Even though Jeanette sits behind him, she leaves him be since she doesn't want to risk getting in trouble. Alvin's plan has been working perfectly fine for ages, until Luke had to get involved. Luke noticed Alvin take the comic book out of his bag and knew that Alvin wasn't going to get away with anything.
"Excuse me Miss Smith, *raises his hand* but Alvin is reading a comic."
The whole class stared at Alvin, except Brittany, who was too busy looking at Luke.
"Alright Alvin, fork it over, but can you come give me it to me because I don't want to get up out of my chair." sighed Miss Smith.
Alvin had to do the walk of shame in front of his entire class all thanks to Luke.
"Oh and you get a detention by the way." added Miss Smith.
As Alvin just rolled his eyes since getting detention wasn't new for him. As he walked back to his desk he glared intensely at Luke, who gave him a grinch like smirk. When Alvin sat down, Jeanette poked his back.
"I'm so sorry Alvin but I forgot to say something to you. Simon said he wanted to meet you by the park after school. Since you two have no classes together today and he is busy due to the upcoming science fair, he thought I should tell you instead. Oh and he also said he'll just head straight there as he's staying behind for his project." whispered Jeanette.
Alvin gave Jeanette a small smile, nodded his head then slouched down into his chair.

The bell rings, first period was over. Alvin quickly packed up his stuff so he could catch up to Brittany and try to have a conversation with her.
"Britt! Hey Britt! Brittany!" Alvin was yelling for her waving his arms, but it was too late. Brittany was so busy admiring and talking to Luke she drowned out Alvin completely.
"Oh crap! Maybe next time."
Alvin buried his face into his hands and walked to his next class. It was science. He shared that class with Theodore and Brittany.
"Wait! Luke isn't in this class! Yes!"
Alvin did an air punch and rushed his way to the science class. On his way there he nearly knocked over Eleanor.
"Hey watch where you're going knuckle head!" yelled Ellie flipping him off.
Alvin finally made it to science class and there he saw Brittany and Luke coming around the corner.
"I'm going to miss you so much Lukey pookie." said Brittany in a baby voice.
"I'll miss you too my little bumble B."
They kissed goodbye and went their separate ways. This was the perfect time for Alvin to FINALLY talk to Brittany after an entire month! He was right about to talk to her when...
"Hi Alvin!"
A voice came booming from behind him. Alvin jumped out of his skin, but it was just Theodore.
"Oh hey Theo. You nearly gave me heart attack." said Alvin putting his hand on his chest.
"Sorry. I'm just so happy we get a class together this year!"
You see Theodore has only had classes with the chipettes and Simon. Alvin was the only one he'd never had a class with.
"I really hope we're put next to each other." said Theodore jumping.
"Uh...huh yeah...me too. I would love to stay and chat Theo but I gotta talk to Britt real quick."
"Okay." smiled Theodore.
Perfect. No more distractions.
"Hey Br-"
"Welcome class! Come on in and find your seat." beamed Mr Benson (he's a new character btw)
"Just great." groaned Alvin.
Alvin, Brittany and Theodore checked the desks to see where they were sitting this year. Alvin and Theodore were next to each other in the middle row, whilst Brittany was in front of Alvin.
"Yes! I'm really close to her." said Alvin in his head.

"Okie dokie class. Get your book, pencils and brains at the ready. When I say your name, just answer with 'Here Sir!' and name one bone of the human body. No duplicates please since there are plenty to go around." said Mr Benson.
"Charlotte Anderson?"
"Here Sir! Okay um... femur."
"Mason Baker?"
"Here Sir! Humerus. Hehe."
"Yes okay funny joke Mr Baker. Brittany Miller?"
"Here Sir! Radius."
(pretend that Mr Benson and the other students were talking in the background)
Okay Brittany said her name which is perfect for Alvin to just say hi to her.
"Theodore Seville?"
"Here Sir. Tibia."
Alvin was about to tap Brittany's shoulder until he got jump scared... again!
"Mr Seville. I've asked for you to answer me twice already. If whatever is on Miss Miller's shoulder is bothering you so much why don't you tell the whole class. Brittany turned around with her eyes wide open and a worried face.
"Alvin is there something on my shoulder. Like a bug or bird crap?!" She asked frantically.
"No Britt we're all good, just a piece of lint."
"Oh thank god! Thank you for checking anyways."
She gave a huge, warm smile to Alvin which filled him with relief. She finally spoke to him. In a weird way, but at least she did!
"Mr Seville, are you going to answer my question. Since I definitely know your here, please name a bone in the human body."
Unfortunately for Alvin, all the bones he knew were already taken.
"Umm the olgarian?"
The whole class burst into laughter. Alvin turned red with embarrassment.
"I don't recall that being a bone in the human body." chuckled Mr Benson.
Brittany quickly turned around a whispered,
"Fibula."
"Sir I think I have one. Fibula."
"Correct well, done Mr Seville."
Brittany turned around and gave Alvin a cute wink. He blushed instantly.
"Thanks Britt."
"You're welcome."
Even though it was the weirdest way to talk to Brittany, it happened. Alvin and Brittany are finally talking again. It won't last forever since Luke and Brittany have next class together with Simon whilst Alvin is with Theodore, Jeanette and Eleanor, but it's something and Alvin is glad none the less.

Let's just keep this short and sweet. Firstly I purposely made the science class talk about bones due to the line from the new Deadpool and Wolverine:
'There are 206 bones in the human body, 207 if I'm watching gossip girl.'
