Shuichi had stayed in his room for a month after Kaede Akamatsu's execution with Kaito Momota occasional visits. However that day was different since Kaito was busy with other things though Shuichi never complained: he loved the quiet more than anything else. Shuichi had been staring at a wall when he heard someone knock. At first Shuichi decided to ignore it but the knocking got louder so he begrudgingly went to open the door. The knocker was none other Kokichi Oma, the ultimate supreme leader, who so happens to be another one of the participants of the killing game. "hey Mr Emo Detective glad to see you're still alive, but why are you cooped up in your room? Is it because Akamatsu died or whatever." kokichi said no hint of remorse in his voice. Shuichi didn't say anything and was about to shut the door when kokichi blocked it with his foot. "ooh Mr Emo finally talked to me nishishi,"kokichi said with his weird smile. Shuichi was patient with everyone including kokichi this surprised the small purple haired boy. Even though Shuichi was patient he didn't really like associating with people so he wanted kokichi to hurry up and say whatever he needed quickly. "anyways the reason i came here is to ask you to bake with me, what do you say mr gloom and doom." Kokichi said even though he said it with a commanding tone it was evident that he wanted Shuichi to come with me. Shuichi didn't want to go anywhere however the hopeful look on kokichi melted his heart and he gave a small nod. Kokichi face lights up and he pulls shuichi to the kitchen. Once they got there kokichi immediately said,"now we can bake a pastry to poison the others. A mixture of surprise and concern spread on Shuichi face as he yelled,"WHAT" Kokichi chuckled and said,"but thats a lie. I am a liar after al. nishishi~" The concern on shuichi's face slowly dissapeared as he sighed in relief and said,"even though you were lying. It is still not funny to joke like that" shuichi adviced. "neon gwiyeobjiman jom jiluhae (GOOGLE TRANSLATE:you're cute but somewhat boring)" a small blush creeped on his face when he realized he had complimented shuichi out loud. He looked at Shuichi and sighed in relief when he saw the confused look on shuichi face and quickly said,"ooh I must've really confused you didnt I nishishi~don't worry about what i said. we've got baking to do !" Kokichi said the last part in a command kind of tone and shuichi nodded. 'what are we baking?" Shuichi asked in his normal whisper like tone. "Some easy to make oven cake i found on the internet." kokichi said showing Shuichi the recipe on recipetineats.com (where i got the recipe from <3) Just then Kirumi walked into the kitchen and was surprised to see the two people who never enter the kitchen looking for ingerdients to make something. "What are you two doing?" Kirumi asked in her normal questioning tone. Shuichi was a bit surprised by her sudden entrance whilst Kokichi looked annoyed a bit. "we were..."   "baking something so that we can poison everyone nishishi." kokichi said interrupting shuichi. "No we're not baking something with poison Kirumi sama. "Don't worry I know Kokichi won't do that dear however please do take care of him whilst you bake."Kirumi said hoping that shuichi doesn't get annoyed by Kokichi's antics like the rest were. Shuichi nodded and bowed saying,"I will Kirumi sama." Kirumi smiled and said a thank you before walking out as gracefully as she entered. "nan bohoga byeollo pil-yohaji anh-a hmph(google translate; i don't really need protection)" Normally Shuichi would've asked 'what does what you said mean' but knowing kokichi won't give him an answer he decided against it. "okay now that she's gone lets get baking shall we mr detective~" Shuichi nodded and they started gathering the ingredients."okay so we need butter, whole milk,eggs, plain flour, baking powder, sugar, one tablespoon of oil, vanilla extract and salt." Shuichi said reading the ingredients to kokichi who gathered them as Shuichi listed them. "okay so first things first we need to beat the eggs with sugar for seven minutes" Shuichi read and started to beat eggs with sugar. "don't worry I'm checking time for you Mr emo detective"kokichi assured. Shuichi nodded and when seven minutes passed Kokichi told shuichi to stop speaking with his normal childish behaviour. Shuichi stopped mixing and kokichi read the next step,"next we need to mix in the flour,baking powder and salt. Don't worry I got that step. nishishi~" Kokichi did as the recipe said on step two, however when he was returning the flour he mistakenly tripped and some poured everywhere. After the flour smoke cleared shuichi helped kokichi off the floor and they returned the flour. "okay next step we have to heat milk with butter till it melts"shuichi read. "should we use the microwave or stove" kokichi asked after pouring the milk into a bowl and adding some butter. "lets use microwave its much safer anyway." Shuichi suggested and kokichi put the bowl into the microwave. They microwaved the milk and butter till the butter melted and then removed it from the microwave. "now we have to mix the batter with the hot milk and melted butter"Kokichi said reading from the internet recipe. Whilst Shuichi was doing that he asked Kokichi a question,"um Oma have you tried this recipe before." "nope but that's what make it more exciting nishishi~"kokichi said responding to Shuichi's question. shuichi nodded and read the next step,"we now have to pour the milk mixture into whipped eggs and mix till the batter is smooth."Kokichi did just that, the only problem was the mixing but he and shuichi took turns mixing though. "now what we have to do is to pour the batter into two cake pans with parchment paper" Shuichi nodded and lined the cake pans with parchment paper and kokichi poured the cake batter into them."Hey detective should we do step 8 it says it's optional and not neccesary unless you are not icing the cake" "I mean would we ice the cake?" "Good point okay so step 8 is that we have to knock the air bubbles out by hitting it on the counter 3 times." kokichi said reading from the online recipe. Shuichi did what Kokichi said in his usual careful manner. "Nishishi~ the last step that we have now mr detective is to bake for 30 min. it says here that it should be golden brown and if we insert a toothpick in the middle should come out clean."Kokichi said reading the recipe. Shuichi nodded and put the cake in the oven whilst Kokichi set the timer. "while we wait for the cake to bake we should probably clean the kitchen up."Shuichi suggested hoping that Kokichi might accept to help with the clean-up job. "aw that's boring but hey if we do that mom won't have to do it."Kokichi said childishly. Shuichi and kokichi worked together to clean the messy kitchen and just as they finished the timer rang. Shuichi took the cake out of the oven ;it was golden brown and when kokichi inserted a toothpick in the middle it came out clean which meant their cake was ready. They cooled the cake right side up and dusted it with icing sugar. Kirumi entered the kitchen and applauded them for their good work on the cake. She then suggested that they should take it to the dining room and she'd call everyone in. Kokichi and Shuichi agreed and took the cakes carefully to the dining room. "wow we really are messy" kokichi said after they took the cake to the dining room. Shuichi nodded and said,"we should probably clean up." Kokichi nodded and the two left the dining room to go get cleaned. Kirumi told the others about the cake they made and after they made her swear there was no poison present they agreed to take a slice. Kirumi left two slices for kokichi and Shuichi to take when they finished cleaning up. However Kokichi was the only one who came out after so Kirumi asked Kokichi to send the last cake slice to Shuichi's room before the lockdown started. Kokichi took the cake slice to his room. He knocked on the door and heard a 'come in' from inside. "hey emo detective mom said i should bring you your cake."Kokichi said with his usual childish tone. "huh oh yeah thanks." responded shuichi. Kokichi handed him the cake and watched as Shuichi ate some of it and gave the rest to Kokichi. "huh why..." "i don't take too much sugar so you can have the rest"shuichi said interrupting Kokichi. The purpled haired gremlin ate the rest of the cake occassionally putting some in shuichi mouth when he got the chance. The duo conversed for a while before monokuma's announcement rang,"puhuhu kids get to your rooms before the timer ends." "well that's the end of my visit nishishi byebye mr detective." kokichi said bidding shuichi a goodbye. When Kokichi got to his room he couldn't stop thinking about shuichi and this was driving him nuts and that's when he realized something. "shit i think i'm in love with the detective" Kokichi muttered this before covering his body with his bedsheet and soon drifting off to sleep
