Gyeong-gu

These questions of theirs are becoming so irritating to my ears. If I don't give a straight answer, this question will never end.

“Gyeong-gu..” Kyung-ah was about to say something when I cut her short.

“The girl, she has the blood stone.” I finally said.

“What?!” They both yelled at the same time.

“What are you talking about Gyeong-gu? How do you mean the little girl has the blood stone?” Ryang asked, somewhat confused.

“I implanted it in her.” I said. I really don't know how to put it to them in a more understanding way.

“What do you mean you implanted it in her.” Kyung-ah asked, confused too.

“I wanted to find a safe hiding place for the stone, away from the eyes of Jang-uk and his men till I can find a permanent solution to this and end this baseless war if possible. Then looking into the little girl’s soul in my arms, It was pure and Innocent…a perfect place to hide the blood stone for the time being. So I planted it in her and it formed in replace of her heart.” I explained, and they both stared at me like I've gone crazy.

“So you're saying the blood stone has become one with that little girl?” Kyung-ah asked and I nodded to it. “How is that even possible?!”

“I was surprised as you are. Maybe she's some sort of special child.” I said with a shrug. I’m also surprised at how the blood stone could become one with her.

“This is crazy! If you wanted a vessel to keep the blood stone safe, why don't you implant it in yourself then? You are the perfect safe vessel for it.” Ryang said.

“Yes, you’re right. But I've tried doing that but it keeps rejecting me for some weird reasons.”

“What about me or Kyung-ah?” Ryang asked.

“It won't work on you both..”

“Why? Is it because our soul isn't pure enough or it's because you don't trust us?” Ryang said.

I know what he's driving at now, I know this will turn into a big fight and I'm not ready for this right now.

“I don't expect you to understand.” I said, finally picking out a coat that marched with my trousers and T-shirt.

“If she's the bearer her life will be in danger, you have to get it back.” Kyung-ah said, making me frown at her.

“Are you saying I should kill a little girl?”

“I’m asking you to bring back the stone, it will be more safe with us.” Kyung-ah said.

“That means killing her. It would be heartless of me to kill a little child.” I said, surprised at Kyung-ah’s words even though she’s just concerned about the stone.

“If you can't do it, I will. I’ll go look for her and bring back the blood stone before Jang-uk or his men catch up with her.” Ryang said, ready to carry out the assignment he gave to himself.
