I haven't been able to catch up with TSAMS but I watch Solar's Return and OH MY GOD.
I was kind of sad about the lack of credit Eclipse was given for bringing him back. I mean, I get it, they all hate Eclipse, and the guy's gone anyway, but it would've been nice to see them adress the fact that Eclipse played a significant part in Solar coming back more clearly.
Eclipse did risk his life bringing back Solar, giving Solar his dimensional signature and all. I was sad that he was leaving, but now we have the Eclipse and Puppet Show, which drops even MORE Eclipse lore, so yay!!
aight imma just stop yapping now lol. take this silly oneshot about Candycorn's return in my College/Highschool TSAMS AU (the events are warped since it's an AU <3)

Solar woke up, gasping.
Where the fuck was he? The last thing he remembered was...
Solar's thoughts darkened. Ruin.
Ruin had hid him away for who knows how long for a cause that he had refused to clarify. Solar had almost fucking died.
He took in some deep breaths, calming himself down. He was okay. Where he was didn't look like Ruin's basement, so he was safe.
Probably.
Solar stood up, noticing that he had on a fresh pair of clothes. The idea of someone re-kidnapping him and changing his clothes kind of disturbed him, but he brushed it off, taking in his surroundings.
It looked kind of familiar. Had he been here before?
He noticed a bunch of computers and machines set up everywhere, covering almost every inch of the room. Solar weaved through it all, coming up on a normal looking table with his phone, a note, and a card. He picked up the note, reading it aloud for himself.
" 'Hello Solar. If you're reading this, then you're awake.' " Solar rolled his eyes. "Obviously." He continued reading.
" ' I may or may not have broken into Ruin's house to get you back. Don't worry, your friend is fine, he's just in jail. Right now you're in my house.
Due to some events, I can't live here anymore. I can't live anywhere you are, really. So, take my ID, the card on my table, to avoid legal trouble. We look similar enough anyway, so it should work.
Then, call Moon's number on your phone. Just warning you, things have changed quite a bit since you disappeared. He'll pick you up, and the rest from there is smooth sailing. Good luck, cousin.' "
Solar started at the note, dumbfounded. Did Eclipse really expect him to take HIS ID and stroll around under his name?
He sighed, picking up the laminated card on the table. He didn't really have a choice in the matter anyway. He dialed Moon on his phone, anticipation coursing through him.
"Come one, pick up, pick up, pick up..." Solar muttered. Moon picked up the phone, and Solar sighed in relief.
"Hey, Moon." Solar started. He heard Moon groan on the other side of the line.
"What do you want, Eclipse?" Moon grumbled through the call. Solar was taken aback.
"Eclipse? Moon, it's not-" Moon hung up before Solar could finish, and Solar blinked.
How long had he been gone?
-
Solar was pacing in between Eclipse's set up, trying to figure out how to get back home, when he heard someone unlucky the front door. He whipped around to see Moon, who's eyes widened in surprise.
"Hey," Solar raised a hand in greeting towards Moon. Moon looked away, muttering something under his breath.
"Well, this is awkward." Moon responded. Solar raised an eyebrow.
"How so?" Solar countered. Moon looked away.
"I'm...not the Moon you knew. I'm the "original"- Sun's biological brother." Moon replied. Solar laughed.
"And you expect me to believe that? You're funny." Solar narrowed his eyes at the other, who raised his hands defensively.
"Hey man, I don't know you very well. I've only been back for about a month. From what I've been told, you've been gone a couple months before I returned." Moon said. Solar studied him dubiously.
"...I don't believe you" Solar concluded. Moon sighed, lowering his hands.
"I can take you to Sun, although he'll say the same things I just did." Moon offered. Solar nodded.
"I'm cool with that. Let's go." Solar accepted the offer, following Moon as he exited the house.
Solar hoped that Moon was wrong.
But his hopes, of course, had to be crushed.
