first TSAMS oneshot woohoo!!

little snippet out of my high school/ college TSAMS AU (no I don't have a book on it; maybe in the future)

lots of canon events get carried over, but most of them get warped (bc in a logical setting, coming back to life is impossible -_-)

idk if they're human, I just know they're alive and can feel pain :>

anyway, like I said, events carry over, like Solar's death (or in this case, disappearance)

lemme just stop yapping and start writing :,D

Moon sat on the couch of his shared home, focused on his phone, when Solar walked by, keys in hand.

"Going out somewhere?" Moon asked without looking up from his phone. Solar glanced at him, nodding.

"Yeah. Ruin's house. I'm going to sort this out once and for all." Solar says. Moon winces audibly, remembering Solar and Ruin's argument.

"You sure that it's a good idea?" Moon asks, finally setting down his phone to look at Solar. Solar is silent for a moment.

"In all honesty, no. I'm winging this, after all." Solar says. A sarcastic laugh makes its way out of him.

"I get that he can be...off-putting. But he's my friend, or at least he was. I'm hoping he'll listen to me." Moon eyes him with concern.

"But you've heard of the times he's snapped. What if he goes mental and something happens?" Moon asks, his visible concern seeping into his voice. Solar sighs.

"I trust that he won't hurt me...badly, at least. Besides, I can defend myself. Being related to Eclipse has its perks sometimes." Solar jokes in an attempt to lighten the mood. Moon cracks a small smile.

"I guess. Come back safe. If I see a single scratch on you, I'll beat Ruin to a pulp." Moon says, his joke a bit more serious than intended. Solar smiles, fluffing the lunar twin's hair.

"Promise" Solar turns away from Moon, heading towards the door. However, opens the door and pauses.

"Hey Moon? I'm proud of you. You and Sun both." Solar says. Moon smiles, rolling his eyes playfully.

"Yeah yeah, thanks, Solar. Hey, could you see if you could stop by Monty's on the way back? He owes me a couple hundred dollars."

"I'll see what I can do." And with that, Solar exited the building, closing the door behind him.

-

It had been a week.

Only one damn week and Moon was already breaking down from Solar's disappearance.

Solar never came home that night, and Monty claimed that Solar never visited him. The last person to have ever admittedly talked with Solar was Ruin. The damn fool admitted to having a heated discussion with Solar but refused to be any more honest. Moon didn't trust him.

Moon had problems with trust. But he knew he could trust Monty. Ruin had lied before though, which is why Moon worked himself into the ground day and night to find out Solar whereabouts (he refused to acknowledge the fact that he might've died. Nope. Nope, that would be so much worse for his already deteriorating health).

Moon only knew one thing:

If his efforts to find Solar failed, he would beat Ruin to death and beyond, until the Brit admitted all of his knowledge and the truth about Solar.

However, it didn't help when Solar's cousin (and his worst enemy/ex-friend) showed up to convince him otherwise.

-

He opened his door to the slow knocks of a stranger, rubbing his eyes. As soon as he saw Eclipse he shut it in his face. He did, reluctantly, let the taller guy into his house after some bickering and threats of busting his door down.

"Moon," Eclipse said in that goddamn deep, raspy voice that Moon hated. Moon held back a couple of insults, resorting to a raise of his eyebrow instead.

"Is there a reason you decided to oh so gracefully bless me with your annoying presence?" Moon responded, resulting in a dry chuckle from Eclipse.

"I have an...idea, regarding the Solar situation," Eclipse said. Moon eyed him for a second, trying to figure out if he was serious.

"Really? You? The cousin in his life who never cared about him?" Moon said sarcastically.

"If so, then please enlighten me, and tell me how it could be better than literally beating information out of Ruin," Moon said. Eclipse rolled his eyes.

"No one has to die, for my plan-" Eclipse started.

"How would it affect you, if he got hospitalized for a couple weeks? I thought you hated him for keeping you here." Moon interrupted.

"Yeah, well, unfortunately, there are a couple of so-called family members of yours out there who don't want to see someone get hurt." Eclipse scoffed.

"Well, if your plan is so superior, then please, clarify its wonderful, brilliant details," Moon said, his pent-up anger seeping venomously into his tone. That's when Eclipse smirked at him, and Moon immediately knew what Eclipse was setting up.

"Ah-ah-ah, Moon. I want something in return." Eclipse said smugly. Moon sighed tiredly.

"Fine, what? And don't even think about saying money, because Monty's got all of it." Moon spat. Eclipse rolled his eyes, his smirk still visible. However, the solar villain stayed quiet for a moment, considering his options.

"I need you to build or buy me a new computer. Solstice put a chip in mine, and I don't want to find out what it's about." Eclipse said finally. Moon studied him.

"...I can have that arranged, I guess. One condition, though, once we find Solar-"

"If." Eclipse corrected with a grin, earning him a glare from the lunar twin.

"-as I was saying, once we find Solar, you leave. Get out of here and never show your face again, Hell, move across the country, for all I care! Just make sure that we never cross paths ever again." Moon said. Eclipse raised an eyebrow.

"Sure. Easier for the both of us." Eclipse said. A silence settles between the two of them, and Moon decides to speak up.

"...Great. Get out of my house now, since that's resolved." Moon said. Eclipse chuckled, hysteria outlining his amusement.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll leave you to your crippling depression. Have a horrible day." Eclipse said dryly.

"You too," Moon responded without skipping a beat.

And with that, Eclipse walked out, slamming the door behind him.
