Warning long chapter!
{[Skill extraction may be used on this target.]}
I stare at the windows that float over every monster's body. Skill extraction? I know that Jin-Woo gained the skill Shadow extraction. He can extract the shadow of a dead person. So that means... that I can extract their skill?
{[Skill: Library of skills Lv.1]
Job-specific skill
No mana required.
-User can gather skills in the library, fuse and attribute skills to themselves of their followers.
-Due to the low level of the skill, the skills can only be extracted from dead beings. The possibility of a failed extraction increases in proportion to the target's stats and how long it had been since their death.
Number of skill slots: 5}
I understand. It works exactly the same as Shadow extraction, but instead of a soldier, I get a skill that I can offer to a myself or a follower – whatever these are. I guess that it's similar to a rune stone. I walk over to the mages.

I stare at the window, surprised. I visibly extracted the skills of all the monsters in the cave. Every monster, but Orion. I jump over to the knight's body, wondering what went wrong with the skill extraction.
{Number of extractable skills: 3}
I have only two slots available at the moment, I can't extract all of these skills. First, I need to open a slot. But how?
As to answer my question, a new window pops up.
{[Skill: Follower forming Lv.1]
Job-specific skill
No mana will be consumed
The user can create new followers from the light and shadow. The creation works in pairs. Each follower must have been given a skill to survive creation. The followers will obey the user's every command.
Number of followers: 0/20}
So that's what the system meant by 'skilled followers'.
"Is there a way to have my followers always with me and be able to summon them whenever I can?" I ask.
This time, the Architect doesn't answer. Despite my disappointment, I am glad that they didn't. Last time they did, it terrified me. It was the first time I directly talked to the Architect, not the system. But I didn't expect them to answer. Knowing that they really are there, observing me, is blood curdling.
