¤ Veronica ¤

Time went by fast, day after day went by like drinking water. Each day was filled with forming the plan to lure the protector forward and also spend time with the princess. As each day went by Veronica saw Kai and Elize getting closer to each other. The king returned and as usual made her feel the creeps when he looked too closely at her.

Today the day would be filled with spending with the queen, she arranged a party to celebrate some news that no one knows. But Veronica had her ideas of what the news could be. Either it could be about what gender Mahfiruze's baby is or that Kai and Elize are engaged. Kai hadn't said anything but she knew that if they don't get engaged soon the king will step in and make sure they get engaged.

After two months of not getting any notes from the protector she woke up with one lying on the pillow next to her. This time the message was short.

Don't trust right.

' Right? What does this mean? Why isn't the protector napping on the trap?'

Their plan had been to make sure that rumors of the biggest assassin on the continent Moon was looking after someone called the protector for a job. Days went by and no one came forward. It made her wonder if this protector had people work in the castle. She told Kai and Thawne about her theory and Thawne promised to look into it. He didn't find anything and they started to think about some other plan they could use to lure the protector forward.

For the party Veronica decides to wear a red dress with some cleavage. She made sure Selin curled her hair and didn't put any tiara on her head. As jewelry she took on small white diamonds on her ears.

The party was with only the women, the important ones. The doors to the harem which is like the throne room but were only the queen rules of the woman was closed. Selin nodded to another servant who then gave the sign to the soldiers to open the doors.

The servant waited until the doors were open and then she announced Veronica's arrival.

'' Attention! Princess Mareena of Northa.''

Every woman stood up and watched in awe at her. The woman in the court hasn't ever seen the real princess before. Veronica walked forward to the end of the room where the queen was sitting on her royal throne sofa with a smile on her face.

Elise was sitting on the left side of the queen in a chair. She was wearing a white dress with black as decor making her look extraditionary. The queen was looking happy, her eyes were shining. Veronica bows to both of them and sits on the right side of the queen in her own chair.

The queen rose, the laughter and chatter that had been when she had walked in, and fell silent.

'' Today is a joyful day! We are here to celebrate what will become beautiful days forward in our life. We are celebrating the engagement of Crown Prince Kai and Princess Elise. I'm happy to welcome you Elise to our family!''

Veronica looks over at Elise and sees her blush. Veronica feels her face stretch to one of her rare big smiles. She knew it would happen but she is at least glad that Kai will have someone behind him until his father dies.

'' Congratulations Elise!'' Veronica says, rising from her chair and walking to hers and hugging her.

Elise hugs her back and blush even more. And it was at that moment that Mahfiruze hatun came to them, looking all smug. She was wearing a nightblue dress with a big cleavage that didn't leave any imagination. Her stomach was bigger than the last time she had seen her, two months ago. At sixth month she was looking even more beautiful.
