#4 Pains and Sacrifices.

"Amando, Answer me!" She yelled frustratingly

Amando looked at her and sigh, before he could even speak he saw the investigators come near the table where they were at.

Aurora turned around and got annoyed, that stupid sergeant she thought to herself. He knew he would be biased enough to side with Sam, she still had her suspicions she still thinks it's Sam. But something inside her makes her feel different.

"Anong ginagawa nyo rito?" She asked annoyingly

"Good morning Ms. Palacios, were here to have a conversation with a primary suspect that was given to us by a witness" Sergeant Casas replied.

Aurora looked confused and she thought to herself, It wasn't Sam? Then who? She wondered. Then realization hit her, she looked at Amando with horror.

"No it couldn't be... She thought" she felt her lungs tighten, she felt her legs give out, good thing someone caught her on time. She could feel a person caressing her back to calm her down, she was having a panic attack for God knows what reason.

"Sino naman suspect ang tinutukoy nyo?" Amando asked while still consoling Aurora.

Abdul looked at her partner then back at the two, "Ms. Aurora Palacios." He replied

Aurora was shocked to hear her name, she knew within herself that she wasn't capable of killing anyone. Why would they accuse her of such a thing?! She wondered

"M..me?!" She asked frustratingly, How dare you think that I would have the right mind to POISON my own Niece! She yelled.

"Ma'am were just doing our jobs, the witness told us that they saw you and Mr Palacios talked through the pathway where you apparently slapped him.

Amando stopped and froze, he remembered this clearly. The two were fighting the last thing that Aurora did was slapped him before he went back to his table.

"Hahayaan molang ba na bastusin ka ni basil?" Amando asked

"No.... Makikita nya... Hinding hindi sya mananalo laban saakin!" She yelled.

Amando was caught off guard and went back to reality when the guards tried to grab Aurora. They began to handcuff her but he quickly pulled her away from them which shocked the officers.

"Wala kayong karapatan na arestuhin si Aurora, inosente sya" He stated while looking at her.

"It's not up for Desisyon Mr. Namas, the evidence is stacked against her, unless a new suspect comes in line.. Abdul replied

"Maniwala kayo, inosente sya... Alam ko kung sino ang nag lason kay basil" he replied

This was false, he didn't know who killed him, but he needed to save Aurora from this mess. That was his promise, to always protect her no matter what.

"Ako ang lumason kay basil" Amando looked at him dead in the eye. Meanwhile Aurora couldn't believe what he said"

"No... Hindi sya ganitong tao... How.. how could he do this?!" She said in her head. Tears began streaming her face. Amando created this story on how he poisoned basil.

"The moment na nawalan ng ilaw sa party I knew na mamamatay sya sa morphine overdose since allergic sya.. Nilagay ko ang morphine sa ininuman nya na nakuha mula sa mga gamot ni Rebecca" Amando looked at him seriously, they could tell he was telling the truth.

"In that case, Mr Amando Namas, you are under arrest for the homicide case of Mr. Basil Palacios, the sergeant began handcuffing him. He just smiled.

Aurora looked at him, her tears began flowing harder "No!" She yelled.

"Amando tell me this isn't true!" Aurora pleaded with him

"Amando looked at her with his eyes, she could read them... This wasn't real, he could see right through him... He was lying, to protect her." Her stomach dropped once again..

"Why would you do this... You never did this! She yelled at him

Amando turned to look at her, he came closer and commented before he went with the investigators"

"Ingatan mo ang sarili mo Aurora habang wala ako..."

"Why did you do this?! Alam kong hindi ikaw ang pumatay kay basil! Sabihin mo ang totoo Sakanila! Amando PLEASE! She pleaded, the same way he would.

"Dahil mahal kita" He replied

Those were the words that crushed her the most, he meant it. He would do anything for her, even go so far just to turn himself in for a crime that he never did just for her...

Aurora watched as the cops took him away. Away from her. She collapsed on the floor and wept..

Amando could hear her cries, her pain. He couldn't turn back, he did this for her ... To save her... All because he liked a girl.
