Chapter 2|Moving?!|

★Ava's POV★

My eyes shoot wide open as I feel something soft hit my head and from the impact applied, I think I'm going to have a headache. I look up and my eyes meet a pair of familiar brown eyes.
"What the heck Dylan?!" I ask angrily
"Mum needs us downstairs now" he replies in a bored tone.
"You know you could have just shouted my name right?"
"Don't you think I already tried that?.... you're a heavy sleeper Ava" he says while walking out of my room.

I'm not a heavy sleeper..... I can bet he didn't even call my name,he just wanted to hit me. I follow him behind to complain more.
"Just great,you gave me a fucking headache"
"Good. I thought I didn't hit you hard enough"
"Asshole" I mutter
"I heard that"
"Good. I thought I didn't say it loud enough" I say and we walk downstairs to the sitting room.
"Morning baby" my mum says as she sees me
"Morning mum" I say and she smiles

She has always been the smiling type.
She smiles even when everything is going bad for her. Her smile is gorgeous and her dimples makes it even better. I smile back at her.
"So like I have good news for you guys" she says looking all excited.
""Go on........" I say
"We're moving " she says it like as if it's the best news ever.
"You're kidding right?" Dylan and I ask simultaneously. I look in her eyes to check for any hint of joke but she is damn serious.
"No. Jeff got a new job in one of the biggest companies but it's in New York so we have to move. I've already called your school and told them that you won't be coming back so you have from now till this night to pack up your things and tell your friends goodbye because you won't be seeing them for a long time".
"Let me get one thing clear, Jeff's got a new job in NY" I state and she nods
"So why are we moving?.....if he's going to New York, isn't this like a sign telling you that it was never meant to be?" I ask but she ignores me and faces Dylan whose pretty much as angry as I am.

This can't be happening. I can't move. I've already planned my whole life in California. I love this place. Sure it will be nice to explore a little but I will always come back to Cali. Mum's smile drops as she observes our facial expressions. Dylan walks upstairs and I follow him.

We enter our various rooms and I head to the bathroom to take a bath. I haven't even brushed my teeth. I was so annoyed at Dylan and curious to hear mum's new to remember to brush my fucking teeth.

20mins later, I'm all dressed up and out of the house. I look to my right to see Dylan's car still in the drive way with him in the driver's seat about to driver off.
"Hey!,wait up" I shout
He stops the car and looks at me,his brown eyes darker than usual. He's angry and annoyed. I can see that but there's also a hit of sadness in there. I can't blame him though. We both love California.
"You coming or not?" He asks while staring at the steering wheel.

Ha!
See what I did there?
Never mind.

I hope into the passenger's seat and he drives off. I honestly don't know where we're going right now.
"Where are we going?"
"Didn't think to ask that before you hoped into my car?" He said being annoyed and I roll my eyes
"Following mum's instructions" he says afterwards.
He stops in front of his friend's house and we get down from the car. We enter the house just to see it full of his other friends.
"Hey man" Josh greets him with their famous handshake once we're inside the house.

Josh is his best friend. He's practically like the other brother Dylan wanted but never got and I also see him as my second older brother that I never wanted. I already have to deal with Dylan but I don't mind actually.
"Hey pretty" Blake,one of his other friends greets me while beaming a smile at me.

He's light skinned with dark brown hair and also like really tall.
Oh and did I mention he's obsessed with me?
Which literally switches on Dylan's overprotective older brother mode.

With one swift move, Dylan's already standing in front of me and giving the dude death glares. He backs away while raising his hands in the air and I can't help but roll my eyes at my brother's overprotective act.

He sits me down on a couch close to him and goes ahead to tell his friends about mum's plan of moving tomorrow and their expressions suddenly changes.
"What the actual fuck man?! You can't move" Josh says with nothing but anger in his tone.
"Yeah,we need you. We're like the unstoppable trio,the mega three-force,the.......yh I've ran out of names to call you,Zane and I but without you we're just_"Blake says and I almost want to feel bad for them.

I didn't know they loved Dylan that much.

At this point,the living room is already filled with murmurs and I can see Dylan loosing his mind. He hates noise which is weird cause he loves parties.
"Enough! Do you think I actually want to move? I love this place but there's nothing I can do about it. Her mind has already been made up. I only came to tell you guys bye"He says and the room becomes silent.
"You sure we can't kidnap you instead?..... I mean after a long time of searching for you, she'll finally give up and leave without you" Blake says, feeling confident about his plan and Dylan rolls his eyes.

Josh steps forward to give him a hug and he happily accepts it.
"Group hugggg!!!!!"Blake shouts and the rest of his friends join the hug. I sit there watching them with a smile plastered on my face. Dylan breaks the hug and a sad smile is on their faces.
"Don't worry, we'll still keep in touch" Dylan says and waves them bye. Josh and Blake follows us outside and gives him one last hug before going back inside.
"Do you know what I just discovered today?" I say and I enter the passenger sit.
"What's that?"
"You really love your friends" I say and smirk, knowing fully well he hates that word being said around him.
"Shut up!" He says and rolls his eyes.
"You love them,you love them" I repeat in a teasing tone untill he looses it.
"Can you just shut the fuck up?.....Say that one more time and I swear, you'll be walking to wherever we're going next" he threatens and I stay quiet with a satisfied smile on my face.
"So where to next?"
"Don't you have any friends you would like to visit?"
"Yh but_"
"No buts. We're paying your little friends a visit" he cuts me off
"They're not little" I say defending my friends
"Yeah you're right..... they're like really tiny"
"Ugh..... you're just throwing insults at them cause you're tall"
"What's the point of being tall if I don't get to brag about it?" He says and I roll my eyes.
