Chapter 15 |It's all lies darling|

★Ava's POV★
"Pay attention" our English teacher,Mrs Riley says sternly to a group of boys at the back.

It's just the third class of the day and I'm already tired.

I hate Mondays.

Natalie catwalks into the class, dressed like a hoe as always.

"I will not tolerate tardiness Natalie" Mrs Riley says with anger in her tone.
"Can you stop talking?.... I'm having a serious headache" Natalie says to Mrs Riley while walking to her seat at the back, in-between her two minions.

I look at Mrs Riley hoping she'll say something cause like,who the fuck does Natalie think she is?

Mrs Riley walks to Natalie's seat and stands in front of her.
"Uh....are you going to do your job or are you looking for ways to get fired?" Natalie asks
"You know Natalie, it's not your fault. I blame your parents for failing in their parental responsibilities. Parents are supposed to train their children to become great people in the future. Instead,they raised a stuck up bitch." Mrs Riley says with a disgusted look on her face and the class gasps.

Go Mrs Riley!!!!

"You're not just a disgrace to womanhood but you're also a disgrace to humanity. The sooner you realize it,the better for you" she says one last time then walks out of the class.

Okayyyy..... I'm pretty sure she's getting fired after that but at least she accomplished the greatest thing before she left.....the joy of putting Natalie in her place.

I don't know whether to thank Natalie for giving me the opportunity to rest my brain or hate her more for being rude to our teacher.

Nah...... I'll go with the other option.
The one that involves hating her.

"What happened Natalie?....Cat cut your tongue?" A familiar voice says from the back and everyone laughs.

I turn to see who the familiar voice belongs to and I spot Kyle.

Has he always been in this class?

Our eyes meet and he waves me.

Natalie gets up and stumps out of the class. The bell goes off and I sigh in relief.

Is it possible to be mentally tired of being around people?

Well if I'm feeling it,then it has to be possible.

"You coming?" Amelia asks.
"Yeah,yeah. Go ahead. I'll be with you soon" I say and she nods then walks out of the class.

I pack my books and put them in my bag while standing up.
"Sup Ava" Kyle says to me.
"Hey kid, how're you?" I say while zipping my bag.
"Kid?.....I can bet we're the same age" he says
"Sure" I say while walking out of the class and he follows me behind.
"Wait,have you always been in my class?"
"Yes Ava. We've been in the same class since you came but you didn't notice"

I really need to be more observant.

"My bad."
"It's fine"he says
"Don't you ever feel odd for being the youngest amongst them?"
"Well sometimes but Xavier always makes sure I don't"

Xavier.
For a second, I almost forgot he existed.

Almost.

"What about when they all graduate?" Which is in like a few months.
I'm so happy I won't have to see my brother's annoying face everyday again.

He goes to college,graduates,gets a job and becomes rich inorder to afford anything I want while I stay in the Dylan-free house, enjoy my life,wait for him to come back in a few years and tell me that he's now a rich business tycoon. Then I spend his money and we both live happily ever after.

It's a win win.

"I saw that as a problem before cause I didn't really have any friends in our class but now that you're here,I think I'll survive"he says and smiles at me.
"Me?.....I didn't even realize we were in the same class until now and I've been in the school for almost a month now but you still want to be my friend"
"Yup"
"What if I forget your existence?"

It's possible.

"I'm not someone you can get rid of that easily neither am I someone you can forget easily. Trust me. Xavier tried. In the next two weeks,I would have grown on you"
"Keep playing kid" I say as we enter the cafeteria after dropping my bag in my locker.
"You coming?"he asks me.

Oh....I almost forgot about Amelia and Xavier's break up. So that means I can't sit with them cause I have to sit with Blondie.

"Nah. I'm gonna sit with Amelia"
"Alright. See you later" he says and walks to his table where the rest of the boys are and I walk to the table where Amelia is.

I take a sit opposite her and stare at the food in front of me.

"Thanks for bringing my food"
"Yeah yeah. What were you doing with Kyle?" She asks
"Uh..... talking?"
"But he's one of Xavier's friends" she states
"I'm fully aware"
"And Xavier's my ex"
"Your point is?"
"My point is that I don't want you talking to the friends of my ex"
"Like you said, he's YOUR ex. Not mine. They didn't hurt me in anyway, neither did they hurt you. Besides I can talk to whoever I want to talk to"
I say,defending myself.
"You're breaking the girl code"
"Oh please.... there's no girl code that says you can't talk to the friends of your friend's ex"

Did that make sense?

"Well there should be"

"How many times do I have to tell you that Xavier didn't do it?..... it's all lies darling. Someone's trying to mess up your relationship."

I really hope I'm right though.
My instincts can fail me sometimes.

"It's not. I know Xavier more than you Ava"

Apparently,you don't.

"Well I talked to him and_"
"You what?!" She says,almost shouting.
"I talked to him"
"Why would you do that?"
"Cause I know he didn't do it and he looked kinda sad or something. I know you don't believe him but you should. Isn't trust like one of the main thing a relationship should have?.....and you didn't even allow him to explain. You just shut him up anytime he tried"
"There's no need for his explanations. The picture said it all. I'm now a laughing stock of the entire school. My reputation is ruined and you want me to forgive him?...... that's not going to happen"
"Wait......are you angry that he ruined your reputation or you're angry cause you think he cheated on you?"
"Well I wasn't popular before, until I started dating Xavier then everyone wanted to hang out with me. Now it's the exact opposite. People still whisper shitty comments anytime I walk pass"

If I didn't know better, I would think Amelia was just using Xavier to gain popularity.

Nah....I don't think so.
She's better than that.

"Anyways though, I've warned you Ava. Never talk to them again. I don't want people thinking Xavier broke me or something. My reputation is already ruined enough. Stay away from them unless next time,....well let's just hope there's not gonna be a next time" she says then leaves.

Wait......was that a threat?
Did Blondie just threaten me?

Is that how teenagers behave?
One minute they're sweet then the next they go all psycho mode.
All because of popularity.

You see.....this is why I had only one friend. She was so real and down to earth.

Teenagers are so emotional.

You're a teenager too.

Yeah but I'll never behave like that because of a boy or popularity.

I think I'm another breed or something.

Maybe another specie.
