The next couple of days, you mostly stayed in your pyjamas, moping around the house. Ashley and Conan had been worried, but you brushed their concerns of, with the simple excuse of being ill with a cold.

"Y/n?" Ashley's voice sounded through the halls as she walked in. Conan was out, so it was just you and Ashley.

"In here, Ash." You called out as she came in, patting the spot on the sofa next to you for Ashley to sit.

"Aw, hey Y/n- Conan told me you weren't feeling well, so I thought I'd stop by for a bit." Ashley says, as she plonks down next to you pulling you in for a hug.

"Yeah." You say bluntly, trying to focus on whatever nature documentary is filling Conan's large TV.

"Y/n?"

"Yup?"

"What's up? I can tell somethings bothering you! Our minds are like... spiritually... uhrm... connected.. so just spill. Okay?" Ashley says with pleading eyes.

You sigh, looking back at Ashley as you twiddle your fingers and look down, nervous. Just as your about to speak Ash interrupts you.

"It's Conan isn't it?... You like Conan!" Ashley exclaims, grinning ear to ear.

You shift in your seat, clearing you throat. "How did you kn-"

Ashley cuts you off again, "As I said, spiritually connected." She smirks, shrugging.

You bury your head in your hands and groan as you explain your, 'just friends' situation to Ashley.

" I really like him though, Ashley!" You whine through the pillows you were screaming into seconds ago.

"He's Conan Gray. He has gorgeous chicks falling at his feet everywhere he goes... and I'm just his lazy friend who can't even afford her own apartment cause she's too busy watching David Attenborough on his flatscreen!" You continue ranting, frowning as you gesture towards his telly.

Suddenly, Ashley drags you up.

"Okay enough moping. Get out of your Pjs- we're going to do some walking in this thing called.. nature.. was it?" Ashley jokes, her tone softening, "C'mon Y/n. It's okay we'll sort this out. Yeah? It's not the end of the world." She says giving you a quick hug, before urging you to get dressed.

You grumble something about the end of the world being a lot more fun, before getting changed and meeting Ashley at the door.

As you and Ashley are walking silently towards the park, she pipes up, mentioning something she should have earlier.

"Oh and Y/n? We're meeting Conan." She says casually walking forward as if she just didn't drop a huge bombshell on you.

You pause, stopping dead in your tracks as you satire at Ashley is disbelief. "Seriously?"

She nods, lowering her eyes as she turns to you. You groan and pivet on your heel, attempting to walk away.

"Come on Y/n. You can't walk away from your problems." Ashley says, visibly annoyed.

"Watch me." You retort, turning to look back at her as you walk forward.

You smirk to yourself- feeling glad that you don't have to meet him as you turn back around to face which way you're walking and... bump into someone. You topple down, trying to decide wether you're more annoyed at the person who made you fall, or the fall itself.

"Ugghh. Can't life just fuck off for one second?" You groan.

You scowl at Conan as he brushes himself off, attempting to help you off the ground as he says panicky apologies. You smile at him bitterly as you walk back to your house.  Shit, you think as you hurry along, Conan lives here too.

When you hear the door unlock, you know that Conan is home, much to your reluctance, so you grab a beer out of the fridge, taking one for yourself and giving one to Conan.

"Thanks." He says as he slumps down on the sofa, opening the can with one swift movement.

You drink your beer quickly and before long, you and Conan are on your third pints, dancing to old ABBA songs in the kitchen, having a blast, having finally made up, being only slightly drunk.

After your 'dancing queen moment' (as Conan called it) you two are sat on the sofa once again watching a movie which was on live TV.  You went to pick up another drink for the film, but Conan stared at you blankly, making you put the beer down as you scoffed.

Conan had picked up the remote and decided to watch whatever was on, which was coincidentally a horror movie. You sat on the edge of your seat as a person dragged bodies wrapped in sheets, off of an old party boat which had only been silent until a few moments ago, when everyone mysteriously dropped dead.

You winced as the figure slowly crept along the dark halls of the ship, with glass bottles and plastic party cups until...  you screamed as the figure got brutally slaughtered by, yet, another masked figure- who wore a creepy deer mask- before throwing the dead body off the ship.

You shivered, suddenly feeling rather creeped out and scared, deciding to go to bed early.

You lay in your bed alert, still terrified by the movie you had watched less that an hour ago. Stiff as a board, your eyes wandered around your pitch black room, trying to find any indication of movement, to tell you that someone was there. After hearing something fall (probably something the wind blew) you bolted out the room, throwing the covers off you as you did so. Instinctively, you ran to Conan's room, knocking on his door frantically.

"Conan, can I come in?" You whined as you pressed your ear to the door.

A few beats later you heard a muffled, 'okay' and burst in quickly.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" Conan asks, sitting up in his bed and flicking the light on.

He pats his bed and you sit on the end of it sheepishly, " Sorry for waking you up, Cone. I got very creeped out by that .. thing. Sorry again... do you want me to leave?" You ask.

Conan shakes his head, "No, stay for as long as you want, I don't mind at all." He grins.

"That's good. Because if another creepy thing happens I'll end up staying here all night." You laugh, looking at Conan who goes slightly pink at the idea. You cringe, it's probably weird thought for him, sharing a bed with his bestfriend, you think.

"Nothing creepy will happen though." You say, backpedaling slightly. But then it does. The landing light flickers on and off numerous times as you and Conan watch in fear and shock.

You laugh in terror as you get in the bed next to Conan, pulling the covers up to your nose, acting like this isn't awkward for you- being in a bed with your crush who thinks of you as a friend.

"Never mind. Clearly the spirits are out tonight," you say, trying to lighten the mood, then adding, "seriously, though Conan. If you want me out of this bed, you are gonna have to carry me, because their is NO way I am going out there on my own."

"You did it before." Conan murmurs.

"Before a demon possessed your fucking lamp, you mean." You correct.

"Fair point." He laughs.

"Night, Cone."

"You too, Y/n."

And with one final yawn and stretch, you say one last goodnight before you drift into sleep, even if it is one of those weird dreams,  but you have Conan beside you.
