During a rare lull in their conversation, Bobby noticed that the radio was playing some Christmas swing instrumentals and decided to have a little fun, so he asked if Beverly wanted to dance before she nodded. With that, he set down his glass of cider and got onto his feet before regally bowing to her while holding out his hand, making her giggle as she took it before they worked together to get her up.
While they swayed to the music on the radio, complete with Bobby twirling Beverly around every once in a while and making her giggle even more, the two of them would find themselves lost in each other's eyes. On top of this being Bobby's first time away from the North Pole, it was also his first time falling in love with anyone, and the same could be said about Beverly (she was too busy with schooling to bother being in a relationship). Even though both of them were nervous about sharing their feelings, Bobby decided to take the initiative and confess his love for her, so he softly sighed before letting out a light chuckle that made Beverly giggle.
"Beverly? I... I love you. I know we've just met tonight, but..."
His explanation died on his lips as Beverly shyly reached up to feel his cheek, and as she gently rubbed his dimple with her thumb, she smiled at him with a glimmer in her eyes before she nodded.
"I do too, Bobby... I've loved you since the moment you slid down my chimney."
Both surprised and relieved by her similar feelings, Bobby smiled at how sweet Beverly's words were before he shyly asked if they could kiss, and she blushed a little before nodding. With that, they stopped dancing before he slowly pulled her closer, and she smiled at him before her breath hitched as their lips met. His lips felt as smooth as silk ribbons on a well-wrapped present, and while they each had an arm wrapped around the other for closeness and comfort, Beverly slid her hand from his cheek into his hair before feeling it while he ran his fingers through hers. As hard as it might have been to believe for someone so sweet as Beverly and someone as charming as Bobby, this was their first kiss, and there was no way they were going to stop with just one.
After they pulled away to catch their breath and collect their thoughts after something so incredible, neither Beverly nor Bobby could stop blushing or giggling, with Beverly being so elated that she didn't remember the mistletoe hanging above their heads. So much for thinking she wasn't going to be kissing anyone while spending her first Christmas alone, because before Bobby came into her life, she had no clue that the mistletoe would be the perfect accessory for their first kiss. Regardless, she was full of too many smitten-like emotions to focus on anything else, especially after such an incredible kiss.
When Bobby took her hand and sat back down by the fireplace, Beverly giggled as she sat before moving closer to him and resting her head on his shoulder, to which he chuckled before wrapping his arms around her and holding her close. After saving some of her cookies for the trip back home (claiming they were for Santa while his smirk proved otherwise), Bobby finished his glass of sparkling cider before he and Beverly exchanged shy glances and giggles together, acting like two giggly schoolchildren. It felt like they were posing for a Hallmark movie poster, but unlike the cheesy Christmas films with easy-to-predict plots, the love between Beverly & Bobby was much more realistic. While time seemed to slowly drift by like the moonlit snow outside Beverly's window, she and Bobby found a blanket and started snuggling together, almost like they were two friends having a sleepover... but better.
Before either one of them knew it, the sun was just starting to rise, and it was soon time for Bobby to go... as much as neither of them wanted to.
