After making my way through the Ice Path, I finally arrived in Blackthorn City. Normally I would have gone straight to the gym and battled right away, but I decided to take the entire day to train up my team, make sure we were really ready. So after training for a while, and teaching my teammates some good moves, I finally headed over to the gym the next day, bright and early in the morning. As usual, I signed up, getting escorted onto the battlefield, where the gym leader Clair was awaiting me on the other side. "Greetings, challenger... Your names Ara, correct?" Clair asks. "Yup... That's me." "Alright... I am warning you though, I'm one of the strongest dragon type trainers of all time... Are you sure you still want to take me on?" Clair asks. "Yeah... Of course I am." I nodded in response. "Good... Then I won't hold back." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - BATTLE... BEGIN!! Clair: "Let's go, Gyarados! Ara: "Go, Ampharos! Use Discharge!" Clair: "Use Dragon Pulse, Gyarados!" Ara: "Dodge it! Then use Discharge again!" Luckily Ampharos managed to barely dodge the attack, quickly knocking out Gyarados. Clair: "Why, you little... Let's go, Dragonair! Use Fire Blast!!"

Ara: "Use Thunder, Ampharos!!" Ampharos's attack ended up missing, and Dragonair's attack did a ton of damage as well. Clair: "Now, use Dragon Pulse!" Ara: "Quick, use Signal Beam!" Ampharos did a bit of damage to Dragonair, but got quickly knocked out. Ara: "Alright... Let's go, Gengar! Use Shadow Ball!" Clair: "Use Fire Blast!!" Ara: "Use Sludge Bomb!!" And luckily for me, Dragonair's attack ended up missing, Gengar doing a ton of damage to Dragonair. Ara: "Now, use Sucker Punch!!" Clair: "Use Dragon Pulse!!" Both attacks did a ton of damage to one another, but Gengar's attacks did more damage... Knocking out Dragonair. I could tell that Gengar was getting pretty weak now, though... I need to be careful. Clair: "Let's go, Dragonair! Use Aqua Tail!!" Ara: "Dodge it! Then use Shadow Ball!" Clair: "Urgh, I've had enough of this dodging! Dragonair, focus and use Dragon Pulse!!" Dragonair then managed to land a powerful critical hit, knocking out Gengar. Ara: "Let's go, Togekiss! Use Aura Sphere!" Clair: "Use Dragon Pulse!!" Ara: "Now, use Air Slash!!" Clair: "Use Aqua Tail!!" After Togekiss attacked, Dragonair quickly then flinched, preventing it from attacking. Ara: "Now, finish em with Aura Sphere!!" Togekiss quickly then attacked, knocking out Dragonair. Clair: "Ugh, come on! Urgh... We'll, there's no way you'll be able to defeat my last Pokémon! Go, Kingdra! Use Hyper Beam!!"
