After another 10 minutes had passed, I walked to our room, leaning on my "mates", but to show them my displeasure, I stared at them angrily the whole time.
"Don't look at me like that, sweetheart" Thomas said mischievously after a while.
"Sweetheart? Since when are you allowed to call me that?" I asked irritably.
"Please, don't argue" Edmund whispered stressed out, as if we were babies.
"Don't be such a spoilsport" Thomas replied, rolling his eyes.
"But look, the others are already watching! How about that" Edmund explained. "When we're in our room, you can hiss at each other, insult each other and do whatever else you want!"
"All right" I grumbled, while Thomas said something that sounded like a diplomat. The further we walked, the fewer people were in the corridor, until later we were the only ones and the men stopped.
"What's going on?" I demanded to know.
"We're here!" Edmund replied.
"Is that a joke?" We were standing on the first floor, where you could only walk a few steps until you came to a wooden door.
"What do you think, of course not," grinned Thomas. My mouth fell open as if I was at the dentist. Then I turned round, which was very difficult without help.
"Not today, Madame!" Thomas grabbed me by the shoulders, then Edmund opened the door and they dragged me in. The room we entered had two red velvet-lined staircases leading upwards. The entrance hall also had two leather sofas and a small adjoining room. You could hear people bustling about everywhere. I wonder what was in the small room? Maybe jackets? Suddenly I heard the voice of an older gentleman: "Good afternoon, Your Highnesses!" He had pale blue eyes and thinning hair and wore large glasses. Turning to me, he added: "I'm the butler, Johann Bold, I'm the kind of person who is happy to be of service to you! May I take your things?".
"That's not necessary" I replied politely, as I was in a bad mood because of the two of them. "I am, by the way..."
"Forgive me for interrupting you. You are Armanda Vente, previously a human and mate of my employers!"
"As far as I know, most of it is true! I'm not sure about mates!"
"Soon you won't be! Once you get to know one of my strengths" said Thomas in a very low voice, taking my leather jacket from me and handing it to Bold.
"Thank you" he replied.
"You can put your shoes there!" Edmund pointed to a not particularly small shoe cupboard in which all my shoes and those of others were kept. The cupboard was dark brown and made of wood.
After I had put my favourite overknees away, Edmund spoke clearly as if he were reading a text in class: "As you can see, your things are already here and sorted! Let's show you our room!" We walked past a library, which I peeked into, which really had too many books and that's what a bookworm like me says, and kitchens, which I only recognised by the fact that it smelled good from these rooms, for example I could smell lasagne, which I would have to try urgently if I had time before I got rid of the two of them, because lasagne was one of my favourite dishes. Until we came to a huge room with two more doors and a huge balcony. There was a huge king-size bed in the centre.
"This is my room?"
"No, this is our room!" grinned Thomas.
"Do I have to sleep in a bed with you, or are there still single beds available in the other rooms?"
"Yep!" they both replied.
"No! Anything but that!" I stumbled, swearing, in the direction of the first door in the room, hoping there was another bed there. When I opened it, I saw a gigantic walk-in wardrobe, so I ran in a rage to the other door, which housed a huge bathroom, so I went out here too.
"When do you think she'll calm down?" Edmund Thomas asked anxiously.
"No idea!" replied the arsehole wolf with a wicked smile "But it looks funny!".
When I heard that, I finally burst my bubble: "You're ignorant, stupid idiots! Why me? Not even a dramatic exit works? Where have I ended up here?"
"Erm... at love school?" Edmund replied.
"Do you think I don't know that?"
"Apparently not! Otherwise you wouldn't be asking!" replied Thomas sarcastically. And at that very moment, I was glad that I wasn't a cooking pot, because if I was, I'd be boiling over! Even though I knew I would regret it later, I slapped Thomas so hard that it clapped loudly.
"Oh! How sweet!" Thomas squealed, something I wouldn't have expected in a thousand years.
"Should we get the doctor?" I asked Edmund in shock, while the madman picked me up and squeezed me.
"LET ME DOWN!" I shouted angrily.
And then he started sniffing: "What are you doing?" I asked, shocked.
"Did you know you have class in ten minutes? I just wanted to smell you again before the vampire takes you away, as he has lessons nearby!" Thomas put me down.
"What?" I asked and quickly hobbled into the bathroom, where I checked my appearance. Everything looked relatively ok, considering I hadn't looked after it for a long time.
"Come on now" said Edmund, who was already pulling me out of the bathroom and out of the flat. Even though I was totally stressed about him now, I still wondered how he would like it if I cuddled him. Don't even think about that? Don't forget, he can hear that! And then I saw that he was smiling. It was adorable! Argh! Ok, think of something bad, something bad! They won't leave me alone! They're some kind of royal assholes!
Then Edmund suddenly said seriously: "You take that back! Crawl, we can do that, provided you can crawl well!" If I were a bit brighter, I would probably be as red as Snow White's apple, so he didn't notice, I ran as straight as I could round the next corner.
"You know you're walking in the wrong direction!" he grinned.
"Sure! I just wanted to know if you knew too" I said, wondering inwardly if I had done something bad or why the opposite of the best day was visiting.
Edmund just shook his head in amusement: "Sure...!" I would have loved to turn his head round for those words, but as I couldn't do that, as I could see from the wolf, who just smiled at me, I started to swear at him inside.
After a few seconds, he spoke again: "Can you please stop!"
"Why should I?"
"Because it's annoying and you're standing in front of your classroom!" he replied, shrugging his shoulders. Before I could say anything, he turned round and disappeared. So I took a deep breath and entered the classroom.
