Two days had passed since someone came knocking on the Myers' residence door and Cassandra had come storming down the hallway like she was ready for war. Everything that night was strange, from the chills when she tried to go to the door, to Tim activating instant-kill mode in his Rottweiler mind, Jordyn couldn't deny how odd her life was getting.

She thought that her life was was bad enough with her hallucinations and non-existent social skills and just overall "creepy aura" as one kid described to her once. But now there's another layer of strange being added onto her frankenstein cake of a life.

People wanted to talk to her. People from all walks of life and appearances all of a sudden took a very deep interest in Jordyn. It disturbed her greatly. She couldn't shake the unease she felt around the individuals that did talk to her. The black haired girl always found herself itching to shuffle and sprint around them.

The first time someone tried to talk to her was two days ago, when she, Cassandra and Tim went out for groceries. A woman who looked to be in her late twenties offered Jordyn's mother her babysitting services.  At first, Cassandra seemed interested in her and took up the card the woman had given her. The card was a light purple and read AMI AL'S BABYSITTING SERVICE: QUALITY CARE FROM THE BRIGHTEST! though in Jordyn's eyes it looked more like IA 'SAMLA GBBITAYSISE: VCIERS UTQCA RIYRM FOTERB ITTH!EGH.

As they walked on, Jordyn watched her mother's content stare turn into a frown and promptly throw away the business card and wipe her hand on her sleeves as though she had picked up a biohazard.

The second interaction happened just a few minutes after. They were all inside the actual store, when a group of girls in cheerleader costumes cornered Jordyn next to the deli and tried to get her to follow them to God knows where. Jordyn eventually managed to slip past them, find her mother and tell her everything. The mother-daughter duo scanned out their items as fast as they could and sped-walked all the way to where they had tied up Tim.

But by far the weirdest encounter was when they took Tim on the walk they had promised him. It was through the Pelham Bay Park by the lakeside where they met a troupe of grandparents. At least, Jordyn assumed they were grandparents. Every single one of them were old, like relics in a museum, with deep wrinkles and frighteningly pale faces, they shuffled along the wide path, all the while earning questioning glances along the way.

They acted like the whole park was empty besides them until they saw Jordyn and her family. Immediately they turned in unison like a shoal of fish toward her, calling for her until Tim stepped up. He had his instant-kill mode switched on, and he growled threateningly at the senior citizens. The swarm of seniors came to an abrupt halt, like they had hit an invisible wall. They all stared at the dog blankly, then at Cassandra, who wrinkled her nose and glared at them ' What did the grannies do to her? ' Jordyn thought while trying to wrestle Tim away from the grannies, who were now shuffling along the rest of the path while never taking their eyes off Cassandra and Jordyn. Tim was going ballistic; Jordyn had to lean back and tug at Tim's red lead to stop him from mauling the grannies. His pearly white teeth gnashed and snapped at the air as he barked so loudly that Jordyn could feel the bass in her bones. At this point, Cassandra had snapped away from the grannies' gaze to kneel in front of Tim.

"It's alright boy, we're alright." She cooed while gently patting the big dog on the head. Like a switch, Tim returned to his normal, peaceful, slightly goofy self and pounced on Cassandra to shower her in slobbering licks.

Jordyn on the other hand, couldn't get over what she had just seen. Tim was ready to destroy some old grandparents for looking at her wrong? She wanted to read up more on the Rottweiler breed, but she couldn't read, and her mother was at work most of the time, so Jordyn felt guilty making her do more for her.
