It was evening when I made it home from my 3 days trip from chicago , thankfully the deal was a success when trading in arms things can get out of hands any moment Though it should have took me 5 days to make the deal....I made it back in 3 days...The reason was just inside the house I have heard that babies tend to forget you if you stay away from them for even a little time and I can't let that fucking happen The four months old baby was my new reason to live My reason to work more hard To be alert of every possible threat to her...My little Princess Only four months old , so little, so tiny , so cute and so innocent....and vulnerable Everything that our enemies will try to exploit, and they would have to kill me first It's been four months since our warning to Russians.... though they are silent now... Retaliation is to be expected I hurried through the doors...Liam and Dad were already sitting on the sofa ...hmm maybe they are discussing something important....as I made my way to the stairs to meet my Luna before they stop me I heard tiny giggles coming from Where they were sitting, I raised my eyebrows slowly walking up to them Coming close I saw dad holding and tickling the baby while Liam made faces to make her laugh and she was laughing Shit, and here I thought my princess and I would have some alone time to play Though, seeing as to Brayden was not the one holding Luna tells me he is not at home considering he was very possessive of Luna. "Hey dad , Liam" I greeted them They both nodded at me barely glancing my way away from the squealing baby. "Dad I think it's my time to play with Luna considering I was the one who was away from her for 3 days" Dad rolled his eyes and said "well son, it doesn't work that way I too was busy since morning and had just now got my little lion in my hands so you better wait for your turn" Ohh come on that's just not fair But just then mom came snooped Luna from dad and gave her to me Surprised dad looked at her "Lily Honey that's unfair I need my Luna time..." Mom gave him a look which immediately made him silent. I smirked while liam laughed at dad I looked down at the small bundle in my lap She was looking at me with big beautiful brown eyes "Baba...aaba" she squealed showing me a huge smile "Hey princess you missed bubba didn't you" I said "Bubba missed you too baby" I took Luna to her playroom with me now that the deal was done I was free from my duties for a while and I wouldn't waste anytime without Luna. After 1 hour of looking, babbling, smiling and playing Luna finally became tired and started crying for mom I immediately took her to mom who was in office with dad She took the crying baby from me "Honey , I think luna's hungry, I will be back in a while" She told dad taking Luna with her Dad looked adoringly at mom and luna's retreating figures "Alexander we have a new problem, the fucking Russians have a new head the younger brother of the previous one , Ivan ....but this one's not stupid he is more clever than his foolish brother, he took the position by promising his people revenge against us" He said "we need to be more alert and we need more information about this Ivan, the faster the better" I smirked, this was what I was best at forcing out the information from people, either they gave it easily for money or in exchange of their life. " Don't worry dad, your favourite son has it handled" I told him Dad gave me an encouraging smile "I know son , I trust your abilities but Remember Never be reckless or without a plan....many people are waiting for you at home" he said I nodded, since our first day of training when we were teenagers with high level of energy dad has always taught us to remember what we stand for, why we are doing this, and that's family, before being a Mafia , I was a son , a brother Under my watch no fucking asshole was taking my absence as an advantage to hurt my family... Though my no one in my family is weak But now we had a little vulnerable member who couldn't even stand on her two feet , but that didn't stop my parents to protect me when I was the vulnerable baby and now nothing will stop me and my brothers from protecting our little sister. Though Before moving out of the house I went to mom and dad's bedroom to find Mom making her way out of the room As I was about to ask her about Luna She whispered "the baby Monster is sleeping" I laughed quietly and pushed open the door slowly and made my way to her sleeping form in the cradle One look at her peaceful sleeping face Ignited a protective and ruthless feeling in me....and I knew that I would go to any lengths to keep the peaceful expression on my luna's face.
