Pol invited them on a small beach party on their resort. It was like a fancy nightclub but at an open sandy beach.
He had offered them some rooms although it was a Friday, he had to sacrifice some rooms because he knew that even though they don't want to admit it and he could tell that Noon knew it too, that their house was too cramp for his co-workers.
After picking them all up with their belongings (except for Jake who refuses to sleep anywhere else except on Noon's family house) Pol lets them rest first before iniviting them out for dinner.
Pol leads them to a secluded table upstairs, although it wasn't clearly a part of the beach party, the spot is onlooking the party downstairs. This was due to people recognizing Jake and well, foreseeing what will happen if they'll join the people below. He was short staffed and if things got a little bit out of hand, he was doomed.
Although the music was loud and they can hear the people downstairs shouting and yelling as they dance tot he music, it was the opposite for them. They just sat there, drinking and talking about mostly work.
Kit was a hard drinker, Pol thought to himself as he observed the older one drinking shot after shot. The manager was just listening to whatever their companion was talking about, nodding every now and then to assure that he was listening.
Jake and Noon was also quiet, having a little glance at each other every now and then. Noon was invested to whatever his co-worker was saying.
Pol puts his attention back to the manager. There was something in him that he couldn't point out. He looks intimidating, like he had built a wall around him. He can't even start a conversation with him without having a double take.
His looks are ordinary, but there is something about him that makes Pol want to get to know him.
Yet he was afraid.
Kit looks intimidating, yet as you stare at him longer, he can see something fragile, so delicate that maybe in a one wrong move, you'll break him.
Maybe he was being obvious for staring too long because the older one suddenly turns to look at him. Pol quickly averted his gaze but maybe or he was just imagining things because he felt like the older just gave him a side eye.
A few hours later, Jake and Noon excuses themselves.
"It's still early, why would you leave now?" Pol asks as he stops the two of them.
"We're going to talk about something, we'll go back if there's still time" Pol shakes his head in disagreement and crossed his arms on front of his chest as if he was trying to tell Jake it was his territory so he should back off.
"I don't trust you with my friend" Pol says. Although he looked serious saying it, Jake can't help but choke a laugh.
"Well I trust your friend and I also trust you to accompany my friends while we talk about our private matter" Pol looks at the table behind him, Ham and Dhan looks like they'll pass out anytime and Kit was also looking drunk. He really needs to guide them back to their rooms.
Pol sighs in defeat, stepping aside to give way for the both of them. He raises hand and points his ring and middle finger on his eyes and points it at Jake, warning him that if something happens to his friend, he will see.

Jake stands by the door as Noon makes his way to his bed, sitting down in a nervous manner as he tries to calm himself out.
"Let's sort this out right now, I don't want to go back tomorrow with unanswered questions Noon"
Noon just sits there, looking at Jake as he tries to think.
