"So, is this 'arrangement' contract essentially a pre-nup already, or do we get to negotiate later?"
"I'm not one of your business deals! And I don't care if you're even the Prince of Istanbul, Alaz Soysalan, I am not marrying you!"
Alaz leaned back in his chair, his arms crossed, a sly grin spreading across his face as the meeting took an unexpected turn. The large oak table that separated him from the Aydin family and his own family was cluttered with papers, coffee cups, and half-drunk bottles of water. Asi, seated beside him, was visibly tense, her fingers gripping the edge of the table as if it were the only thing keeping her grounded. She felt like the room was closing in on her.
"I can't believe this is happening," she muttered, running a hand through her hair.
Serhan Soysalan, who had been silent until now, cleared his throat. "Alaz, Asi, this isn't just about the two of you. It's about both families and securing a future that benefits everyone."
Asi looked at Alaz, who was still lounging in his chair with that infuriating grin on his face. "You think this is funny?" she hissed under her breath, trying to keep her voice low so their parents wouldn't hear.
Alaz shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm just going with the flow, baby. But if it helps, I think we'd look pretty good together on the front page of those society magazines," he quipped, clearly enjoying the situation a bit too much.
Asi felt like she was going to scream. She looked desperately at her parents, then at his. "Can't you see? We're completely wrong for each other!" she exclaimed, hoping someone, anyone, would see reason.
But the parents just exchanged knowing glances, the kind that said they'd already made up their minds, and this was just a formality.
Alaz leaned in closer to Asi, lowering his voice so only she could hear. "Don't worry, sweetheart. If we do get hitched, I promise to make our life together... interesting," he teased, his voice laced with insinuation.
He leaned back in his chair, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as the lawyer slid a thick document across the table towards him and Asi. "Is this what I think it is?" he asked, his tone dripping with mock amusement.
Asi's eyes widened in horror as she glanced down at the document. Her heart pounded in her chest, her mind racing with a thousand thoughts. "There's no way I'm doing this!" she blurted out, her voice trembling with both anger and panic. She grabbed the contract, her hands shaking as she ripped it into pieces, letting the shreds fall like confetti onto the polished table.
Their parents sat in stunned silence for a moment before the lawyer calmly pulled out another identical contract from his briefcase, placing it in front of Asi with a composed smile. "We anticipated that reaction, Miss Aydin. We have multiple copies."
Alaz let out a low chuckle, leaning back again as if this were the most entertaining thing he'd witnessed in ages. "Well, they've thought of everything, haven't they?" he teased, shooting Asi a playful wink. "You might want to save the dramatics for the actual wedding, love."
Asi could feel her blood boiling. Just last night, in that damned nightclub, she had nearly made the same mistake twice - letting Alaz sweep her off her feet, again. They had been passionately kissing, the kind of kiss that leads to places you swore you'd never go again, especially with someone like him. Now, here they were, being pushed into a life neither of them wanted.
"This isn't happening! I have a boyfriend!" she protested, trying to buy herself an escape from the madness unfolding around her.
Alaz couldn't help but laugh, thoroughly enjoying the spectacle. "Relax, Asi kiz," he said, his tone dripping with mock sympathy. "I'm sure your boyfriend won't mind sharing, considering he's not... you know, relevant here." His eyes danced with mischief, knowing full well what those words meant to her. But, of course, he wasn't about to let their families in on their little secret - how close they had come to reigniting an old flame.
Asi shot him a deadly look, her mind scrambling to find a way out of this nightmare. "My boyfriend," she began, almost daring him to say more, "is none of your business."
"Seems like he's not your business either," Alaz replied, his smirk widening as Asi fumed.
He stretched out his arms, clearly unfazed by the chaos.
"So, where do we sign?"

Hi AsLaz fandom!
This is my first time writing a fanfiction about a couple from a Turkish series (or series in general). I saw on Twitter that a lot of people fantasized about an arranged marriage between Asi and Alaz because they are expecting a baby, but I decided to change it a little. The whole universe is different and you will understand that through reading. I don't want to reveal much to you. There is still a little left until the second season so let's get this party started!
Kisses xoxo
