Asi's luxurious apartment, with its stunning view of the Bosphorus, was a flurry of activity. The entire beauty team was bustling around, working their magic to prepare Asi and her friends for the grand engagement gala of her sister Rüya and her fiancé Yaman. The spacious living room had been transformed into a makeshift salon, with stylists, makeup artists and hairdressers attending to every detail.
Asi stood in front of a large, ornate mirror, admiring her reflection. She wore a long, elegant black dress that hugged her curves and featured a daring open back. Her black hair was styled in an elegant bun, with a few loose strands framing her face. Discreet but expensive jewelry adorned her neck and ears and her makeup was breathtaking, highlighting her natural beauty. She looked like a vision of elegance and power, and she knew it.
Her friend Leyla, a vivacious woman with curly auburn hair and a figure that could turn heads, entered the room holding two whiskey glasses. Leyla was always the life of the party, with a mischievous glint in her green eyes and a smile that could light up a room.
"Here you go, babygirl," Leyla said, handing one of the glasses to Asi. "You look absolutely stunning, by the way."
Asi took the glass and smirked. "Thanks, Leyla. You look beautiful too. Purple really suits you. You will surely attract attention."
"Oh, please, tonight is all about the Aydins." Leyla said, taking a sip of her whiskey. Asi pursed her lips and adjusted the upper part of her dress, which, due to its cut, revealed her chest in a non-vulgar sense. Enough to interest other eyes, but not to reveal too much. She gripped the crystal glass with her fingers adorned with long manicured red nails and tiny gold rings, taking a sip of alcohol with pleasure.
"So, where's your mind at? You've been distant all evening."
Asi sighed, taking another slow sip of her drink as she gazed out the window at the shimmering Bosphorus. "I still can't believe Rüya is getting married. It all happened so fast."
Leyla shrugged, leaning against the vanity. "Rüya and Yaman have been together for a long time, Asi. And she's pregnant. It's not that surprising when you think about it."
Asi rolled her eyes, her voice tinged with sarcasm. "I know, but it still feels surreal. The whole thing is just... scary."
Leyla raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on her lips. "Scary? Come on, Asi. You're one of the strongest women I know. Marriage isn't that scary."
"It's not about strength, Leyla. It's just... a huge commitment. And I don't know if I'm ready for that. There's so much I want to do, so many places I want to see."
Leyla nodded, understanding in her eyes. "I get it. But you know, life has a funny way of surprising us. Sometimes, the things we fear the most turn out to be the best things that ever happened to us."
Asi shook her head, her earrings following her quick movements.
Leyla's playful nature got the best of her. She came closer, her eyes twinkling with mischief, and playfully squeezed Asi's butt. "I still remember that bet we made for your 18th birthday," she said with a teasing grin. "That you wouldn't get married before your 30th birthday."
Asi leaned into Leyla's touch, biting her lip as she looked at their reflection in the mirror. "I remember it very well," she said, her voice low and sultry. "And since my 29th birthday is in a few months, I still have lots of time to win that bet."
Leyla raised an eyebrow, her expression amused. "And what if life decides to play a trick on you and throws a marriage offer your way soon?"
Asi played with her fingers and nails, her gaze thoughtful. "I'm not even thinking about Deniz's possible proposal," she said. "We've been together for a year now, but I'm not sure he's the one. And I don't want to get married anytime soon."
