"Momma Lee!" I exclaim, running over to the woman standing at the front of the company building.

She pulls me into a tight hug, "(Y/n)! It's been so long."

"It's only been three weeks," Dohyun says.

His mother grabs his ear, pulling it roughly. Dohyun lets out a hiss of pain, "Okay, okay, I'm sorry."

When his mother lets go, he rubs his ear. The older woman gives me a bright smile, "You look so beautiful today. This outfit is much better than your old uniform."

I look down at my outfit, adjusting my blazer. "Thank you, it feels better too. I'm glad my pencil skirt days are over."

"Yeah, you can actually walk now without looking like a duck," Dohyun says.

I smack his arm, "Shut up."

Momma Lee looks behind me, her eyes lighting up. I turn around to see Hajoon approaching us. Dohyun nudges me, but I stomp on his foot.

"Good morning, Mr. Wi," I say, bowing when he's standing in front of me.

"Good morning," he replies.

Momma Lee pushes herself to the front, "I'm Lee Mina, Dohyun's mother. You must be the new CEO."

Hajoon bows, "It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Lee. I'm Wi Hajoon."

She smiles brightly at him. Dohyun rolls his eyes at her antics, "Well, we have places to be mom. We should let (Y/n) get to work."

Dohyun has to drag his mother away, but she turns around to wave at Hajoon and I. There's an exasperated look on Dohyun's face as he continues to pull her away. She slaps his arm repeatedly until they get to their car.

"My uncle will be here later today."

I freeze, "Oh, thank you for letting me know."

He nods and then walks inside. I wait a few seconds before walking inside as well.

I sit at a table by the cafe, scrolling through my phone. Dohyun's already texted me ten times today, complaining about the long car ride with his mom. He made me promise to go with them next time.

"(Y/n) (L/n)," a familiar voice says.

I look up to see Mr. Choi is standing in front of me. My blood runs cold, but I set my drink down to stand up and bow. "Mr. Choi."

He crosses his arms, "I'm amazed that you've lasted this long."

I keep my eyes focused on the ground. He laughs at this. He tugs on the strands of hair that have fallen in front of my face. I bite my lip to keep from yelling at him.

"You were always the quiet one," he says.

"Please do not touch my employees."

Mr. Choi pulls his hand back to his side. I look up to see Hajoon standing next to him, a stern look set on his face. His eyes move over to me, "Are you okay, Ms. (L/n)?"

"Yes, sir," I respond.

Mr. Choi looks me up and down, his eyes holding a dark look. I start to panic, in fear that he knows about me listening to his conversation with Seojoon.

The two of us glare at each other. This is the longest I've ever looked into his eyes, I wasn't allowed to look at him before. A chill runs down my spine when he smirks.

"I'll see you around," Mr. Choi says, finally turning away from me.

He bumps into Hajoon roughly, but Hajoon doesn't falter. When the former CEO is gone, Hajoon turns to me. "Are you okay?"
