RUN BOY RUN PT.2

Aurora sat crisscross on Fives bed, watching five carefully. Five was looking out the window. Looking rather wistful. quiet footsteps approach to room.

"Five? Aurora? Are you upstairs? Guys?"

Vanya calls from the stairs, peeking into Fives room. She lets out a relived sigh when she sees the two in his room, safe and sound.

"Oh, thank God. I was worried sick about you guys."

Relief floods Vanya's face, making Aurora feels bad that they left un announced, but she knew they had bigger issues.

"Sorry we left without saying goodbye."

Aurora says, giving her a small, sorry smile.

"No, look, I'm the one that should be sorry. Yeah, I was dismissive, and I I guess I didn't know how to process what you were saying. And I still can't, to be honest."

Vanya's eyes don't meet either of theirs, staring at the floor. Making Aurora feels worse for dumping all that on her last night.

"Maybe you were right to be dismissive."

At this, Aurora lets out a slight scoff in disbelief. She hoped that he was just saying these things to please Vanya.

"Maybe it wasn't real after all. It felt real."

The thought had crossed Rory's mind, that maybe everything was fake. But after some logical thinking, she came to the realisation that not even her mind could come up with something so fucked up. At least she would hope it couldn't.

"Well like you said, the old man did say time travel could contaminate the mind."

"Then maybe I'm not the right person for you two to be talking to. Look, I used to see someone. A therapist. I could give you her information. She would be able to see you both, I'm sure."

"Thanks, but I think were just gonna get some rest. It's been a long time since we have had a good sleep."

"Okay."

Once Vanya leaves the room, the couple have like a moment of silence together before Klaus comes stumbling out of the closest. Heaps of clutter comes spilling out with him.

"That's so-"

He puts his hand on his heart, looking sincere.

"Touching, all that stuff about family and Dad and time. Wow!"

Aurora brings her finger up to her lip. Shushing Klaus. Vanya was just outside and she already felt bad about lying to her, getting caught would make her feel even worse.

"Would you shut up? She'll hear you."

Klaus takes absolutely no notice of either of their shushing, continuing to talk far to loudly

"I'm moist."

"I told you to put on something professional."

Finally getting a chance to look at Klaus, he's wearing a rather interesting outfit that she cant imagine anyone but Klaus wearing. It was multicoloured and frilled, definitely not basic, nothing about Klaus ever was.

"What? This is my nicest outfit."

Five lets out a sigh, already regretting his decision to ask Klaus to help.

"We'll raid the old man's closet."

"As long as I get paid."

"don't worry Klaus, I think you look lovely." Aurora says, to Klaus, who wraps her in a side hug.
