Author's POV

Visha was restless, pacing back and forth in the room, her mind consumed with one thought: the report from the hospital test.

"The report should have arrived by now. If it falls into the wrong hands, it could cause a huge problem for me," Visha said, her voice tinged with anxiety.

"I really don't want anyone to find out about this," she added, her worry deepening.

She had been clear about needing the results by this time, yet they hadn't arrived. Growing increasingly anxious, she quickly grabbed her phone to call the hospital, determined to find out why there was a delay.

As soon as the call connected, before Visha could even speak, she heard the sound of the door opening. Yash walked in, and the suddenness of his arrival startled Visha so much that the phone slipped from her trembling hands and fell to the floor.

Yash noticed the dropped phone immediately. Seeing the call still connected, with a voice on the other end saying, "Hello, hello," he picked it up and handed it back to Visha.

"Here, it's your call," he said, his tone calm and understanding.

Flustered, Visha tried to cover her nerves and quickly explained, "Actually, it was just a wrong number. Nothing important."

She hastily ended the call, not wanting to reveal anything more, and then walked out of the bathroom, clutching her phone tightly.

Yash watched her leave, thinking to himself, "No problem, I'll tell her tomorrow. I don't think I should delay it any longer."

As he said this, he noticed the file in his hand. He quietly walked over to the wardrobe, placed the file inside, and closed the door with a sense of finality.

With that, Yash quietly placed the file in the cupboard and made his way to the bedroom. He settled onto the sofa, his usual sleeping spot.

Though to everyone else, it appeared that everything was fine between him and Visha, the reality was far from it.

Since their wedding night, they had been sleeping separately, a silent testament to the growing distance between them.

Radhi's POV

It was the second day, and I had just completed my work early in the morning. I headed straight to the hospital, took care of everything, and sent a message to Ayaan. After that, I packed up my things and returned home. When I got home, I noticed that the room was empty.

Yesterday, I had confirmed that everything was on track with my plan. Today was the day, even though I had initially planned it for yesterday. Unfortunately, due to too much work, I had to cancel and reschedule it for today.

"Oh Ganpati Bappa, Oh God, please don’t let today’s plan fall apart. I’ve worked so hard to arrange everything. Yesterday was a disaster, and it took so much effort to convince Ayaan to postpone the plan to today," I thought to myself, excitement bubbling under the surface despite Ayaan’s typically simple and reserved reaction.

I reached home earlier than expected and immediately went to my room. The first thing I wanted to do was take a shower and freshen up after the long day. After entering the room and seeing that it was empty, I felt relieved. "It seems he's not back yet. That’s good; it gives me time to get ready," I thought.

I headed straight to the washroom, enjoying the warm water as I let the stress of the day wash away. After the shower, I felt refreshed and ready for the evening. I quickly dried off and then changed out of my hospital clothes.

I had stopped at a shop on the way back and bought a beautiful red saree. It had been a long time since I had worn something traditional, and I hadn’t had the opportunity to do so recently. The moment I saw the saree in the shop, I knew it was perfect.
