"All right, I would say the same thing at last. Last but certainly not least. We have oww this is a new name here we haveee.. Kaaarann Kapoor!!!"

I looked to my side to quickly glance at Samriddhi as the host carried on with his commentary.

However, what I observed perplexed me; she appeared to have frozen in place as she sat there. Her eyes lost their colour and her lips wobbled.

Unsure of her state I was keeping an eye out for her hand, but the moment her skin touched mine, she recoiled and slid back into her seat. She looked at me afraid and scared, her sacred face looked scared at this point and I do not know what shall I do.

This is the same look that I recognized when I first learned about her nightmares in which she retreated from me at the slightest touch of mine.

When I glanced into her slightly moist eyes, a hard lump suddenly formed in my throat. I can not figure out how to get her back, but I wanted to help.

I gulped over the lump in my throat, my own hand shivered as I felt my heartache. Gathering my strength, I firmly grasped her hand and stared at her, her eyes fixed on nothing.

"Hey, Take a look at me." I had her cupping her cheek as I gently made her look at me. watching on my tone to prevent anyone from spotting us in the crowd.

"We can get out from here if you are not feeling well." Her eyes finally found mine, frowning.

"But isn't this important for you?" She looks up at me as she ask her brows frowned as she stares at me in disbelief.

How should I explain this, the event is supposed to be most important for her.. Not me.

Singhania Cooperation is already drowning in debt... And there's not a way I am getting this asked this year.

"No, It is important of both of us. I really meant to say, How about we go outside and enjoy some fresh air for a little while? We can return once you are feeling better. There's still some time for the winning announcement" I completed. I want her to climb the stairs of success and if we leave she might not achieve it. I want her to walk on that stage with her head high up and get that award that she deserves.

She nods as she stands up, and I follow in her footsteps. The frigid wind struck my face and congealed in my nostrils as we passed the large door leading to the balcony.

As she approached the railing, I walked beside her and watched her while she took deep breaths and tried to calm down.

"These cold breeze would stop after Holi." I muttered, attempting to distract her by striking up a conversation.

"I adore summers, even though I enjoy them more than winters. Summertime brings us so much, like bright colors, warmth, and coziness. It also strengthens family ties during the holiday season. It allows us some alone time to reflect on who we are." She stood silent listening but her eyes watched the moon.
