preferred name ⭑ tony nicknames ⭑ tony ━ ( called by everyone ) ⭑ he already started to use this back in brazil, because shortening the portuguese version of anthony to tony just makes sense, but ever since he moved to hawkins, he barely uses antônio anywhere anymore, even to the point that he's registered as 'tony camara' at school, and so, people may even think that his real name is either anthony or just straight up tony.
nini ━ ( called by close friends + family ) ⭑ nini is a nickname that only few can use; his brother diogo first used it when they were still little, and it's now mainly used by him, june swanson and sinatra stevens. tony actually really likes the nickname, and doesn't complain about it, but he wouldn't really say out loud just how much he likes it, to be honest.
