***Mrs. Hua's POV***

The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over the room. I sat on the edge of the bed, watching Ize as she lay cocooned in the blankets, her serene face reflecting the innocence of sleep. I couldn't help but smile, my heart swelling with affection. Carefully, I pulled the blanket down from her face and leaned in, placing a soft kiss on her cheek, savoring the moment as I waited for her to wake.

As if sensing my presence, Ize stirred, her eyelids fluttering open. A sleepy smile spread across her lips when she saw me. "Morning," she mumbled, stretching her arms above her head like a cat. But it wasn't long before her eyes sparkled with mischief. "You know I need my morning dose of affection," she teased, reaching out for me.

I chuckled, leaning closer to give her what she wanted—an embrace that wrapped us both in warmth. Alright, alright. How about we start the day with breakfast? I've got your favorite pancakes waiting, I suggested, playfully ruffling her hair.

***Ize's POV***

After a quick shower, I felt a rush of energy. The smell of pancakes wafted through the house, making my stomach growl. I'm ready for breakfast! I called, racing down the stairs. Mrs. Hua was humming to herself, her smile brightening the room as she flipped the pancakes.

"Just in time! I saved the best for you," she said, her eyes twinkling. We worked together, laughter filling the air as we prepared our meal, and for a moment, everything felt normal.

Just as we finished setting the table, the doorbell rang. My heart skipped a beat. Who could that be? I asked, glancing at Mrs. Hua.

"Let me check," she replied, her voice steady as she went to the door. I felt a knot tighten in my stomach. I hoped it wasn't someone who would ruin our morning.

***Mrs. Hua's POV***

I opened the door to find Ladi standing there, her expression a mix of determination and concern. Morning, Ladi. What brings you here?

"I need to talk to Ize," she replied, stepping inside. I could sense the tension in the air as she looked around, her gaze landing on Ize, who had come to join us.

"Mom, what's going on?" Ize asked, her voice tinged with apprehension. My protective instincts flared up. I didn't like the way Ladi was looking at her daughter.

***Ize's POV***

Mom? I said, feeling a wave of anxiety wash over me. I could tell something serious was going on. Is everything okay?

Ladi took a deep breath, her eyes softening as she looked at me. "Ize, I want you to know that you don't have to accept my marriage to Mark right away. It's okay to feel confused or upset. I need you to take your time."

Relief and sadness washed over me. But it feels like everything is changing so fast, Mom, I whispered, the weight of my emotions pressing down on me.

Just then, Mark appeared at the door, holding a bouquet of flowers, his expression apologetic. "Ize, I'm sorry for prying into your life. I just wanted to say that I care about your mom and I didn't mean to create any pressure," he said, extending the flowers toward me.

***Mrs. Hua's POV***

I felt a surge of protectiveness as Mark stepped forward, flowers in hand. Mark, this isn't the time— I began, but Ize moved closer, taking the flowers with a hesitant smile.

"Thank you," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper, though I could see the uncertainty in her eyes.

I stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Ize's back. You're not alone in this, Ize. I'm here for you, always, I whispered, feeling the intensity of the moment, knowing she needed my support.
