The atmosphere in Gotham grew increasingly tense as the days passed. Despite the city's usual bustle, there was an underlying current of unease that everyone could feel but no one could quite place. Gotham had seen its share of chaos, but the unknown threat looming over it now was different-silent, calculated, and relentless. At Wayne Enterprises, security was tightened under Bruce's direct orders. Employees were subjected to additional screenings, communications were heavily monitored, and key areas of the company were placed under round-the-clock surveillance. But despite these measures, Bruce knew that Talia al Ghul was a master strategist. If she wanted to strike, she would find a way.
In the meantime, Damian and Wednesday continued their efforts to uncover Talia's exact plans. They had gathered significant evidence of her blackmail scheme, but they needed more-something concrete that would expose her and dismantle her operation in one decisive move.
"We need to draw her out," Damian said as he and Wednesday met in the Wayne Enterprises boardroom after hours. The room was dimly lit, the shadows of the city playing across the large windows behind them.
"Agreed," Wednesday replied, her voice steady. "But how? She's too smart to fall into a trap unless we give her a reason to."
Damian paced the room, his mind racing through possibilities. "We need to make her think she's already won. If we can convince her that she's in control, she'll reveal her hand."
Wednesday nodded, her expression thoughtful. "But that means taking a risk-one that could put us in a dangerous position."
"I'm willing to take that risk," Damian said without hesitation. "We can't let her gain control of Wayne Enterprises, or Gotham will be at her mercy."
Wednesday considered this, then slowly nodded. "Alright. But we'll do this on our terms. We'll set the stage and control the narrative. If she's going to play this game, we'll make sure it's on our board."
They spent the next few hours crafting a plan, carefully considering every detail. By the time they were done, they had a strategy that was bold, risky, and-if successful-would force Talia to reveal herself.
The next day, Bruce Wayne called an emergency board meeting at Wayne Enterprises. The board members, many of whom had received Talia's mysterious devices, filed into the room with varying degrees of apprehension. Some were visibly nervous, while others maintained a facade of calm professionalism.
Damian and Wednesday watched from the observation room above the boardroom, their eyes scanning the faces below for any signs of deception.
"This is it," Damian whispered to Wednesday. "If this works, we'll know who's under her control."
Bruce began the meeting with his usual commanding presence, outlining the company's latest initiatives and security measures. But as the meeting progressed, he subtly shifted the conversation to the threats facing Wayne Enterprises-specifically, the possibility of external manipulation.
"We've recently uncovered evidence suggesting that certain individuals are attempting to undermine the integrity of this company," Bruce said, his tone measured but serious. "These threats are being investigated thoroughly, and I expect full cooperation from everyone here."
As he spoke, Damian and Wednesday watched the board members closely. Most of them reacted with concern or curiosity, but a few-those who had been marked by Talia-exchanged uneasy glances.
"She's gotten to them," Wednesday murmured. "They know they're being watched."
"Good," Damian replied. "Now we just need to push them a little further."
