It's been a month since I left, and my team was still doing recon. We found out this base was full of weapons that could easily decimate our troops. Our job was to do recon and then report back to base. We snuck as close to the base as possible seeing two main entry points that could be infiltrated.

We stayed in a small cabin that was hidden by brush. Looking at the base and taking notes. We took turns watching for movement. It was strange for me when I watched. I always felt like I was being stared at, but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I dismissed it thinking it was nothing. In reality, it definitely was something. After a month of recon, it was time to head back. We packed up and headed back to base.

After a day's travel, we had finally made it back to base. The first thing we did was report back to the Sergeant. Once I was done, I headed back to the barracks. Surprisingly, Zayde and Lance weren't in their bunks. I looked around and heard the showers running. I took a quick peek, and I saw them both showering. I quickly looked away because I didn't want to see them naked. I'm not some kind of pervert.

I was still in most of my tactical gear as I went to the training room. I decided to do some gun practice. I had a mask on, so I wasn't recognizable. As I shot my gun, I heard footsteps behind me. Zayde and Lance. They didn't recognize me. "Who are you? Don't think I've seen you before?" Zayde said in a gruff tone as always. I laughed under my mask and decided to play along. "I don't talk much. You can fight me if you want. I've been needing some training" I got into a fighting stance. Zayde scoffed. "Fine then. This will be a great chance to spar. I want to make sure I am stronger to fight Sierra again." Lance sat down on the bench. "I'm too tired. I'll watch." Zayde rolled his eyes.

We both stood face to face in the middle of the room. He attacked first aiming a punch straight for my stomach. I jumped backwards to dodge and aimed a right hook at his face. It landed and you could see blood leaking through his mask. I think I hit his nose. "Damn. That was quite a hit." He took off his mask and threw it to the floor. I stood there for a minute admiring his face. He had a very handsome face, and his hair was black and short. It was beautiful. I regained my composure and swung again. He dodged it and punched my stomach. I gasped. I stumbled backwards then reared my fist for an uppercut straight to his jaw. He fell backwards onto his back. "Damn, you are strong. Who the hell are you?" I laughed at him. "You seriously don't know do you?" I took off my mask and smirked at him. "Sierra?! When the hell did you get back? Damn you have one heck of a punch." I smiled and laughed. "I got back a while ago. I'm going to be leaving again soon. We finished the recon and now we have to infiltrate the base." He frowned at me. "You just got back and now you're leaving again?! Can't they send anyone else?" I started to get annoyed. "Did you forget why I am here?! I'm here to be used as a weapon. Where I get sent is none of your business. This is my job. This is what I signed up for. I'm not a kid so stop treating me like one." He stood in silence then walked away while grabbing his mask in a huff. He definitely was mad. Lance followed after him.

"Sierra to the launch bay, Sierra report to the launch bay." It was time. Time for the infiltration mission. I made it to the launch bay and left with my group. This was going to be a very risky mission. Infiltration requires stealth on another level. The ability to be swift, but quiet at the same time.

It took us a full day of travel. We weren't going to be gone again for a month like the recon mission. Hopefully this wouldn't take as much time. As soon as it struck midnight, we started the infiltration. Slowly we advanced towards the base going in a small entry point. No one was in sight luckily. Just a couple of sentries who couldn't see us. Wearing pitch black tactical gear definitely gave us an advantage. We just had to be quiet.

We made it inside quietly stalking through the hallways. We were passing lockers when we heard footsteps. Quickly we hid inside the lockers. Three men in black and red gear walked by. They turned down the hall. Before we were about to get out someone's gear hit the locker. We froze. One of those men came back down the hall to inspect the noise. He walked past the lockers. We all breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly he was in front of my locker again. His body wasn't facing the locker, just had his head turned. Those eyes were so white they practically pierced me through the locker. The intimidation was so intense I was frozen. I felt like I was stuck in a trance. He was about to open my locker when my comrades jumped out to attack him, but it was the worst thing they could've done. This man was fast. Before my team could react, bullets filled their bodies. One by one my comrades fell. I was frozen with fear. Fearing if I went out into the open, I would be killed too. This mission would've been a failure. I would've failed so I stayed quiet. Those other two men came back to the lockers to see my dead comrades dead on the floor. "The hell?! How did they get in?" The man with white eyes spoke in a very sensual tone, "Through the entrance. All black gear in the night obviously means they were after something. This should be all of them. I don't think more came in." I stood perfectly silent. Could he have not seen me I wondered. "Clean this up. I don't want to have to explain to the boss why his floors are stained with blood." The men picked up my dead comrades from the floor and took them away. I don't know how long I was in that locker. It felt like an eternity in that moment.

After the blood was cleaned up, the two men left. The other man still lingered outside my locker. I was frightened. His eyes pierced through the locker again. I felt like he had seen me. Why hasn't he revealed me yet? With one swift motion, he opened the locker with me inside. I was so scared I launched myself at him once he opened it. I had him pinned by his wrists on the ground. Our eyes met. His bright white eyes lingered against my light blue eyes. I couldn't see his expression through his mask, and he couldn't see mine. But we both could tell what our eyes said. After a minute of staring at each other, he kicked my stomach and flipped me over to where he was on top of me. My eyes widened with fear. He stared at me deeply. Why isn't he killing me right now? He got up from me then offered his hand. I looked at him quizzically confused. Why would the enemy offer me his hand? I took it hesitantly. Next thing I know he yanks me up with such strength then grabs a hold of my neck slamming it against the locker. I was shocked and could hardly breathe. He looked into eyes, but not with the intention to hurt, but the intention to be curious. He took his hand from my throat and held my chin. Moving it to the left and right as if to study me. He moved his hand back to my throat lightly rubbing. He reached into his pocket holding the dog tags of my dead comrades stuffing them into my pocket. He stepped backwards and pointed to the exit. "Go." I was confused and hesitant. What if it was a trick? His voice got louder, and he pulled out his gun. "Get out, now." I quickly hurried away as fast as I could when I saw his gun. I couldn't die. The mission would be a complete failure. Our base would be overrun, all of our troops would die.

I ran out of the building quickly making my way up the hill then bang. I fell to my knees. I knew I was spotted and shot by their sentry. I quickly regained composure full of adrenaline. I ran as fast as I could. It took me more than a day to get back to the base. My shoulder throbbed from the pain. The blood still fresh. I made it back staggering in through the door. The Sergeant noticed me. "Hey Sierra, you're..." He froze when he saw the blood. "Medic!" I collapsed on the ground. I lost too much blood. Before I had passed out, I pulled the tags of my comrades out of my pocket. When I passed out, I remember hearing running footsteps. Zayde and Lance ran to see what the commotion was. They saw me laying on the ground and rushed towards me. "What the hell happened?!" Zayde screamed. The Sergeant had no idea. Zayde picked me up and ran me to the infirmary. Lance picked up the tags from the floor and looked at the Sergeant. "They didn't make it back, did they?!" He shook his head. "No. They're gone."
